Need some help with Disney Land questions re: admissions + dining

Hi there!

We are headed to Disney Land in less than two weeks for our first-ever visit. So excited. Here are my questions I cannot puzzle out, as I've grown up with WDW and their system, which is quite different:

- There are seven of us total, but a group of four is at one hotel, and the other three at a different hotel. All seven tickets are registered under my account, as I made all the park reservations. Do all seven of us have to physically enter the parks at the same time? Or can I give the group of three their paper (printed) tickets, and they can scan the barcodes and enter at their leisure, and meet us wherever we are?

- My family of four purchases Merriest Nights tickets for 11/16. I linked them to my account, but they don't show up as part of my itinerary or park reservations for that evening. Is that normal or have I done something wrong?

- I made dining reservations for the entire group one evening, but now it looks like only 5 of us will be eating together that night, not all 7. Can I amend these reservations without losing my reservation? I tried to modify the head count but it wouldn't let me. And no one answers the phone. I am trying to avoid being charged for missing members of our dining party, if that's a thing.

Thanks to anyone who is willing to help us with these puzzles and questions!

If you give them the printed tickets, then yes, they can use those to enter. They can also scan those tickets into their Disneyland app and use those that way to enter the park(s).

As long as you see the tickets linked under the Tickets and Passes portion of the app, you have not done anything wrong. The event doesn't require a park reservation, so it would not show up there. Only my tickets show up, nothing else. Disneyland's app is a couple of steps behind MDE.

Without directly contacting them, I am not sure there is a way that doesn't require finding a new reservation for the smaller group. You can always try to the chat function within the app. People seem to have luck using that, but I never have.

It's fine to show up at a dining reservation with LESS people than what you have listed. You will not be charged for them not showing up. The only time it's a problem is if you have MORE than what you originally reserved.

Your Merriest Nights tickets should be found under your "my tickets" section of the app, but they will not show up under reservations or plans.

Give your friends the paper tickets, and they will be given cardstock versions of tickets once they enter the turnstile the first time. Send them a copy of the email that has the QR code on it, although I have never seen anyone be asked to show that, nor have I ever had to show a QR code in the 15+ times I've visited the parks this year. They just have to make sure they go to the correct park first.
