Need some help - point transfer

Hi all -
Need some help from some long-timers.

Long story short, I want to help a very good friend. I'm in perpetual borrow mode (aren't we all - lol), and she is in need of 281 points that I would like to transfer into her account.

Can I blanket borrow those 281 points without a reservation so I can transfer them to her?

AND my home is Saratoga, hers is Beach Club, will those points take on her home resort status or maintain mine?

You cannot transfer borrowed points. If you were able to transfer, in regards to your second question, they retain the home resort status, so yours would stay SSR. They could not be able to be combined with hers until the 7 month window.

You can only transfer current-year points. Also note that you cannot borrow transferred points. You can bank them, though.

Yeah transfer is not going to work. If you want to help her, you could still make the reservation with your own account in her name. Then she could link the stay to her MDE. You'd only get the booking window for SSR of course. But, it would be a way to borrow your own points and book her trip.

This won't help the OP and I know that you know what you mean, but to avoid confusion for others reading along, you can transfer future-year points, but they must be original (non-banked) and must remain in that future UY or be banked to the subsequent UY.
