I am looking for a little help getting myself re-motivated to eat right and work out. I have become obessed with the dis boards while preparing for our recent cruise so I thought this might be the perfect place to find some encouragement and focus.

A short history, in 2005 I had my second child and never really bothered to loose the weight. In Oct 2006 something hit me that it was time to make a change. I joined weight watchers weighing 176 pounds and had a goal weight of 135. I am 5.2 to 5.3. I met my goal in April of 07 and then went on cruise. I came back and would get back on the WW plan for a week or 2 and then off. In July of 08 I checked the scales and I was back up to 156. I was 20 pounds from my orginal weight. I was planning 7 Day cruise on the Magic and had a dress I wanted to wear so I joined a gym and really started working the WW program. I lost 18 pounds in about 12 weeks and fit in the dress great.

I was so excited before I left for the cruise but I went into vacation mode and GAINED 9 pounds on the cruise. I have been home 3 days and can't get motivated to work the plan. I'm eating M&M's, I'm eating birthday cake, I'm eating breadsticks. I also can't get myself back in the gym. So I need to get motivated again.

Maybe if I post it in a public place it will hold me accountable. I am going the gym today and I am going to stick to my WW points. I will drink all my water today.

Okay I've typed it now let's see if I can stick to it.

Thanks for letting me vent!

This weight loss thing seems to be a never ending journey. Congratulations for reaching your goal once. I know you can do it again.

You have done the right thing by publicly declaring your goals for today. I was just on a thread encouraging a friend who has hit a roadblock in her journey. I encouraged her too to set a goal every day and make it happen, then set a new goal the next day. You are off to a great start. Work to achieve those three things today. You will feel great tonight if you do and that can encourage you to do it again tomorrow.

When you are tempted to eat something you shouldn't post here and talk about it. Drink your water today, eat only your alloted points and go to the gym. Great plan. Small baby steps will get you to where you want to go. You have done it before, you can do it again.

Have a healthy day!

You know you can do this. You must keep a healthy lifestyle for your family and for YOU! You want to be healthy. Try logging everyting you eat. There are some good sites to help you keep track of everything you eat and give good ideas of how healthy you are in what you choose. (sparkpeople, fitday are two such places)

When you have those things in your hands, think of everything you have eaten for the day and decide if you have room for whatever it is that you are putting in your mouth with your eating healthy. Sometimes an MnM or few will be ok, but not the bag!

Getting to the gym or moving is one thing that sometimes we have to make happen on those days we don't feel like it. Try the 10-minute trick. Do it for 10 minutes, if that is all you have then end it. Sometimes that's all there is, sometimes you can add in another 10 minutes...

Join in on the threads here to help to keep you accountable for the goals you set. Make your goals easy so you feel that success! You can do this again!

Goals for today were met. I drank my water, I stayed within my points and I did 32 minutes on the ellipitical to burn 300 calories.

Tomorrow I have meetings after work and one is at a Mexican restaurant so I will have to use considerable willpower. I will keep my points low during the day then have a healthy snack before the meeting. Thanks for all the encouraging words.

I'm glad you were able to meet your goals yesterday. I know you can be in control at the Mexican Restaurant today. Make wise food choices. I know you can do it.

First of all, congrats on all the great work you have done with WW. It sounds like you know how to make the program work for you and you have great habits that you can fall back on with a little effort.

Exercise. Food Journaling. Healthy choices. Water. No magic recipe but just good habits will make those pounds melt away.

Gosh, I have no tips for good choices at Mexican restaurants. What are good choices? Salsa without the chips? :rotfl: A little bowl of black beans? :confused3 Lettuce? You can always have a glass of water.

I have no doubt that you can do this. Just a matter of getting back to good healthy habits after a week of glorious care free cruising.

GOOD LUCK!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
