Today is my brothers 28th birthday and I was orginally going to make him pool/billiard cupcakes since he is in a pool league. I had never worked with fondant before, so I figured I should practice before attempting them. I just did not have the time this week since my sons birthday is Friday and I have to make baseball cupcakes for that!;)

So anyway...he is also starting a job with Amtrack :yay: so I thought I could just write something clever with that or the pool thing. I baked a layer cake last night and put on just plain white frosting figuring I would come up with something.

So....can anyone please help with some clever wording:idea:...and if you know of any EASY way I could decorate the cake with the pool theme, I would try it.

Thanks so much!!!

Is the cake round? You could decorate it like an 8 ball with some black icing or just leave it white and call it a cue ball;)

OT: Hi Lisa, haven't seen you around in forever:flower3:

Tina's pool ball idea is great.

If it's a rectangular sheet cake, then use green icing, and make a "wooden" sides and "pockets using brown and black. You could go get some big gumballs to use for the pool balls.

I'm not sure from your OP if it is a round or rectangular cake though.
