The family and I only get to do Dinsey every 2 years. Our last trip was in June of 05. We had a wonderful time even with the fact that it rained for at least a half hour everyday. It was never too hot or unbearable at any time.
The lines were long on most of the favorite rides but we expected that and didn't let it stop us. If we wanted to go on the ride we waited.
Now with the fact that free dinning may be offered in late August- September and last time we were there we had it but paid full rate I think we would really save a ton if we went at that time.(If its offered that is)
If its not offered I was thinking October would be a nice time to go this time around. I've read that the crowds aren't too bad and the weather is near perfect. Being from the Jersey shore anything above 70 is a beautiful day to us. We are a family of 7 and we get 2 rooms in the all stars. We love the water parks so we do that as well. If we went in October we would still do dinning but pay for it. I have figured we would be saving somewhere in the range of 1,000 bucks if we were to go in Aug or Sept with the free dinning.
The thing is this, I have heard that the heat is out of this world and that there are these crazy Love bigs everywhere!
As I said we don't get there very offend and I would hate to go and have the trip ruined because of the bugs and heat.
My children are 17,15,14,13,and 9. Just so you can factor that in.
So the question ...... Is the savings worth putting up with the heat and bugs? Are they really that bad? Anyone been there both times (Aug- Sept or Oct)which do you like better?
I know the big question is money and what I can offered but honestly if I will have a better experience in October then I really don't mind spending the extra cash and paying for dinning.

Thanks all for your help.;)

My family and I have never been in August or September so I can't help you there. We have been at the end of October and the weather was as close to perfect as you can get. It was a short trip and I don't remember if it was actually warm enough for a water park so that may be a factor for you. We actually took the kids out of school the week following Fall Break and the crowds were very managable. We normally go the first part of June but I would highly recommend October if you don't mind taking them out of school.

Thanks so much. I was hoping to hear from some before I head to sleep.
That is very helpful to me as the water parks as a major factor. I think that was the husband and my son's favorite part of out last trip. With that said I think we would be there in the very end of Sept first week of Oct so that may make alittle difference in the weather as well.
I am waiting on more info from others, but thanks again for your imput.:flower3:

I have never been in Aug or Sept.I went in April and felt that the days were pretty hot then. All I can say is I would go when I can enjoy it the most, spend the extra $ to guarantee that you won't get sick from the heat or driven crazy by the bugs.
