Need some good thoughts...

Oh Pete, good thoughts for you and Max! Just a little helpful story... My best friend Samantha is a vet. One day she had someone abandone off a little ugly Chihuahua we all ended up calling Paco. She figured he was dropped off because he was very sick. She found he had a pretty dramatic heart problem and didn't expect him to live three months. She took Paco in to her home and made him hers and loved that little ugly guy. She kept him up to date with all medicines and treatments. Well, Paco recently passed away....seven years later. Just goes to show what the love and attention of a good owner can do.

Best wishes to you and Max. I've been through plenty of health issues with our cats (one in particular - do I have stories!), and know how much the stress multiplies when you're getting ready to go away and something like this pops up. :grouphug:

You're entitltled to drama queen time - just don't do it around Max because you'll upset him.

You've gotten some good advice. Here in Philly the Penn Veterinary Hospital is an amazing resource, so I second the advice to seek out a local veterinary school/hospital.

Remember that lots of people in cyberspace are pulling for Max.

Pete - thoughts & Prayers

We recently went through similar experiences with our cat, our pets are definately members of the family !

Pete, you and max are in my thoughs and prayers. I know what its like to have an ill furbaby, it just crushes your heart. I love my 2 Jack Russell's.

Big internet hugs to you and Max and well wishes your way. I can empathize with you a thousand percent.

Oh Pete.............I'll be thinking of you and Max. :grouphug:

Last year we had a scare with our dog and the vet thought she had terminal kidney disease, so we grieved and thought the worst but when we got more tests done it was a kidney condition that our dog, Stella, could live many, many years with. I hope the same happens for you and Max.

I'll be wishing that you get the cardiologist appointment you need very quickly, and that it's a condition that Max can live with. Take care.

Oh I'm sorry to hear this, Pete. Prayers and hugs are on the way!!!

Oh Pete :( Great big hugs to both you and Max :grouphug:

I'll be praying for you and your pup and that you can find an a doctor very soon.

Please keep us all posted.

Many Prayers being sent your way. I know this couldn't have come at a worst time with the cruise right around the corner. Think positive thoughts - maybe this isn't as bad as thevet thinks.

:grouphug:

Prayers and good thoughts going out to Max.

Our furbabies really do become a part of the family.

I hope you're having luck getting Max a quick appointment and they are able to treat him with relative ease.

Prayers and :grouphug: continue to come your way!

Pete, my friend.

You and Max mean the world to many people. We have all gotten to know Max through the show, just by the jingle of a collar.

Times like this are never easy. You and Max are in my thoughts.

Pete,

I know how you are feeling and my heart breaks for you. Please remain positive and stay in control. It's okay to cry, but keep it together so you can put all of your energy into getting help for Max. You might want to be proactive and research cardiologists on your own for right now.

Hugs and pixie dust.

We are here for you.

Nikki

Yeah, it's OK to cry like a drama queen. Dogs are so cool and they are part of the family.

Sending my best to your puppydog.

Oh, our little doggy Sadie also sends her best to Max
