Okay, here's the background. We're flying to FL on 2/5. We'll be renting a car for two days and on 2/6 will spend the day at Sea World. We check in to AKL on 2/7. We have Donald's Breakfastasaurus at 9:00 on this morning.(it may be 8:30, have to check my ADRs).

So, my dilemma is this. How the heck do I coordinate dropping off the rental car? Do I check in at the crack of dawn, leave our luggage, throw everyone in the car, drop it off and then take ME back to the hotel? Or do I leave everyone at the hotel and I just take a cab there from the airport after I drop it off.

Any ideas? For some reason this tiny little detail is stressing me out.

It sounds like you're returning the car to the airport -- can you change the ressie to return it to a location in WDW? Then you can do it after breakfast and not worry about transportation. Depends on the company you're using though -- Alamo and National have two locations on property, and Budget has one in one of the hotels in DTD (I know I'm forgetting at least one other in DTD, Thrifty maybe?).

I would do a one way rental from airport and drop off at car care center from Alamo/National.

Check in AKL, drop of luggage at conceirge if room is not ready, drive to car care center for return, have shuttle drop you off at AK for breakfast by 9am.

Unfortunately, we're renting from Enterprise. I had a $50 gift certificate making my car rental almost nothing. Hrrmph. Why does this one little thing have to be such an annoyance?

Okay, I figured it out. Enterprise doesn't have a location on WDW property but they do have one on World Center Drive. I called and asked if they shuttle to the resorts and they do. So, I went ahead and made a one-way reservation, picking up at the airport and dropping off at the other location.

I'll check in to AKL, leave our luggage, head to the rental place and then take the shuttle to AK for breakfast.

It honestly hadn't occured to me to see if they had a Disney office or that they would shuttle to the resorts. Thanks for getitng the wheels turning and saving my sanity!!
