Any one have a clue about when tickets will be on sale for Broadway? I know it was announced the Broadway will reopen mid Sept, I googled around and I see from NYC news stations that tickets were supposed to go on sale yesterday. Yes I understand that they have to get the cast and crew back together and rehearse, but was just wondering if they were sold out yesterday or it they never started the sale. Every show I check for the last week of September says "tickets not available" I'm looking at the big musicals - and would love to see Hamilton again.

I read somewhere that several of the big shows are supposed to make a joint announcement about on-sale dates next week. I think Hamilton was one of them. I'm watching too... I really wanted to take DD to see it when it opens in Toronto, but with the state of things in Canada, I'm thinking New York is a better plan now.

Each show is going to be different. Watch twitter/instagram/etc for when tickets for a specific show goes on sale.
great advice - thank you. Boomer Question Ahead: Who should I follow on Twitter, the individual shows? LOL

We saw Hamilton in Chicago - but REALLY want to see it on Broadway. I too also saw about the joint announcement - guess all we can do is "wait for it" (lmao, I'm such a dork - I hate myself sometimes)

Follow the show on Instagram and Twitter. You should also book mark the show website and check it maybe once a week for updates. There is a show I have an interest in, and right now they have an email sign up on their website, so that people can get updates about their Broadway re opening. They are also doing competitions on their social media for merchandise.

You'd fit right in around here. My youngest communicates mostly in musical lyrics, and Hamilton is her current fave.

A couple of venues near me have started releasing dates for touring productions and Hamilton will be in the 2022 season at one, but I still want to see it in NYC if we can. But I did get a season subscription for 2021-22 at a venue close enough to be a cheap weekend destination for us because they've got a great lineup of stuff DD12 is dying to see (Dear Evan Hansen, Mean Girls, Hamilton) so we'll get to see it then no matter what. If I can get Broadway tickets, though, that would be worth the trip... though if Beetlejuice announces a reopening date, I think DD would be just as happy with that one and it might not be quite as hard/expensive to get.

OP here - and for those who haven't been able to sleep for fear that I would miss getting my tickets, well you can rest well now. Just scored two Hamilton tickets early this morning. I'm over the moon. Now to pick our second show......thank you all for the advice. :))))))))

Beetlejuice is amazing , but would have to find a different theatre if they were to reopen - the "Music Man" took the Wintergarden right before the pandemic

We got tickets for Come From Away on Broadway yesterday.
I never expected to love this show as much as I did. It’s wonderful. Completely restored my faith in humanity.

Edited to add...So glad we held on to our Music Man tickets! I think we go August 2022.
