Hi, my wife and I live in Mississippi. We are trying to plan a trip to WDW in May (dates unsure at this point either during the F&G fest or SWW). I've been looking around at flight cost on Orbitz, Priceline ect. trying to get an idea of budget. We flew out of Memphis in 08 for our h-moon trip to WDW since we have to drop our pets off with my wife's grandfather in Tupelo. We used Memphis so we could take direct flight (NWA) from there to Orlando. We'd previously flown Delta on a trip to PA a few years back, and we really do not like Delta. Anyways last week I looked on Orbitz and they had NWA for about 222 each round trip Memphis to Orlando. Not bad and was a fair deal to me (even though luggage fees are a total ripoff imo). Now this morning I'm looking aroudn and it's 342 each and only list Delta as a direct (I've since read about the Delta/NWA merger but I'm very confused). So I guess my big question is should I hope Delta has gotten better? or go with a 1 stop flight, AirTran has a decent deal and better fees but I don't know anything about them. Anyone have an opinion on them? Are they okay to use with Magical Express?

Thanks for any and all advice yall can provide,
Dev

Not sure where in MS you are but price SW out of Jackson. May be worth the extra miles you may have to travel to get there. They don't show up on Orbitz so you'll have to go to their website.

As far as AirTran goes some have complained about them changing schedules once you have booked, and that did happen both times I flew them out of Memphis; but I wound up with better flight times on each of those occasions. (In the past they had a non-stop flight and I was switched to that vs. the layover in Atlanta). As far as NWA/Delta I also have flown them and don't have any complaints as far as service. Bag fees rub me the wrong way but that's the industry as a whole... with the exception of Southwest and I guess JetBlue.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, I'd thought about Jackson, but distance wise it doesn't work out, plus having to pay to leave my car for a week (though as you said with SW no fee I would love to fly with them). At this point it's looking more and more like it will have to be Delta for direct or one of the others for one stop. It just seems so pointless for a two state flight to be a 1 stop flight. I'd drive but it'd be about 13 hours and I'm horrible with directions so I'd rather not risk it plus that would add a rental car to cost as i don't trust my vehicle on that long of a trip right now. I'm going to keep my eye on orbitz as I'm hoping those NWA flights pop back up. I still don't get why they would be there one week and not the next.

Thanks again,
Dev
