Ok so we are staying for the first time since 1999..Last time we were there we stayed in our little pop-up...We have been to WDW about 6 times since then but decided to get a cabin this time around since there may be 6 of us...Now there will be our 13 yo and our 5 yo grandson. We want to take about a day and a hlf to just enjoy all the Fort has to offer...What do you suggest...canoes? movies? sing-a-long? Hows the food at Trails End? Thanks for your input....I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!

canoes? Yes!

movies? Yes!

sing-a-long? Yes!

Hows the food at Trails End? Expensive! (but don't miss the take out chicken dinner-it's the best deal on WDW property!!!)

In addition to what you already mentioned:

biking, hiking, swimming, archery, shuffleboard, tetherball, basketball, playgrounds, fishing, hiking, swimming, exploring, volleyball, organized daily activities at the pool, pony and horse rides, visiting the blacksmith, riding boats at the marina . . .

and more!

Have fun.

I love the Trail's End pizza... 13$ for a big whopping cheese pizza.

While Trail's end is pricey, it's still the cheapest on property. Now a dinner at Whispering Canyon just might hit the spot with the kids. And there's an all you can eat plate for around 20$, as well as other regular menu items.

5 yoa grandson will love the new splash play area at the pool.

Depending on what time of the year you are going, Trail's End does an a-la-cart menu in the off season at lunch. We always enjoy the food, and though it is high priced, it is still the least expensive full buffet at WDW that I have found. Also, look into the free dining option that may be available with your cabin ressies.

And, depending on what time of the year you are coming and the operating hours of the Parks, you can probably work in enjoying the amenities of FW with out dedicating an entire day or so to do it (unless you just want to). I am a big believer in those afternoon come back to swim & rest breaks. And you can do the campfire program one evening (or two) if you are at a park that closes early.
