Need Sling Bag Recommendation

I'm looking for a new sling camera bag for wandering around the parks. Most days I'll be carrying my Nikon 1 AW-1, but when we go to AK I want to take my D300S and 18-200 and 70-300.
Any suggestions?

Don't do it.... not for a full park day, at least is you have a lot of weight in it. Your shoulder and back will be screaming at you4 hours in....

I use Lowepro equipment and have both a Slingshot 200 AW and Fastpack 200. Since you will only be carrying only one extra lens the Slingshot would work well and has the added benefit of having weather cover. I'm not familiar with your equipment's size, so I'm not sure if it would all fit (I'm assuming the camera and one lens will be hanging around your neck). I'm not the one to ask about weight because I carry a lot when I'm going to the parks (APS-C body with battery grip sometimes two, 28-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 30 f1.4, 18-55 and travel tripod). With one camera/lens out, that all fits in my Fastpack.

It distributes the heavier loads better than the sling. IMO the Fastpack works better with my BR camera strap. I have used both and prefer the Fastpack, however the Slingshot has some nice features. Like everything in photography there is no perfect anything, everything is compromises!

But when your back and shoulders start to ache less than half way through a park day it sucks. Lets face t we stuff our bags with as much crap as we can, if theres anyroom left after our gear is in, our SO tops it out lol!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Still considering lots of options.
I've carried Pro DSLR's and two 2.8 zooms, so I know how heavy it can get, but I survived. This kit will be a bit lighter.

You're right, its all in what your used to carrying. When working, I always carry at least two cameras with the equipment to support them. I can't go running back to my car or a media center to get a piece of equipment I don't have with me. Anything less than what I normally carry is light!

I use a messenger style bag (canvas with Halo 3 graphics on it - http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Spartan-Splash-Messenger-Dark/dp/B001AIRWYI)
It'll carry my Canon 6D plus lens plus one spare lens quite comfortably and still has plenty of room for other things (like souvenirs as I'm walking around!).

It has a back pocket on the outside and another one on the inside and one in the flap so I can keep memory cards, extra batteries and other stuff separated.

It's not padded in anyway so there's little protection for the equipment but I really only use it for walking around and touring and it has the advantage of not looking like a camera bag either.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I just received the Fastpack 200. It's the perfect size for what I intend to tote on my Animal Kingdom day. Now to test it out comfort-wise on a few nature trails around me.
