I'm going crazy trying to find a supportive flip flop with an arch for our Disney trip. I started having heel pain last year in both feet and it's mostly resolved in one but the pain in the other foot can be pretty horrendous if I wear flat shoes or go barefoot too long.

But most of the supportive shoes I'm finding are leather and not meant to get wet. And between rides and rainy days, and kids in the splash zones they most likely will get soaked at some point.

I simply cannot do sneakers in the heat. I can barely wear closed toe shoes even in the winter up north I couldn't manage in Florida heat. I just get way too hot and uncomfortable.

Any suggestions?

TIA!

Okabashi flip flops and sandals are amazing! I've worn mine for out last 3 trips and they've held up great!

My Keens are more comfortable than my New Balance sneakers, and they are waterproof. My feet never hurt in them. I was sad when we went last month and it was too cold for them. They seem big on but they are my most favorite shoe ever!!!

Teva's with the extra cushion in the heel works for me. Though I would love it if they had a flip flop with that sole. Also Birkenstock work really well for me too. Not sure how I would like those at the parks though. I'm definitely going to be checking out some of the other brands mentioned here :)

I think it depends on your foot....as you can see, different people like different shoes....for myself, I love Birkenstocks,Teva Mush flip flops, some Keen shoes are pretty good support,i need high arch support....I have been shopping for new pair of shoes for lots of walking when its too cold for my birkenstock sandals, and have found some keen styles that work. I also like crocs, old style crocs for comfort, but i don't like how they look, and i hate the slippery soles...the teva and crocs brand really warm and mold perfectly to my foot shape... But there is variation within brands too...if you buy online be sure of a flexible return policy....

While not "flip-flops" I am a huge fan of Keen. Had mine for 6 years, in and out of sea water. Look and feel great right out of the box as well as 6 years later. I live in the MidWest so I do not wear them year round.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think as far as ideal for my feet issues Vionic looks great. But those were ones that appear from the descriptions to be not okay getting wet. According to my podiatrist I have very high arches and need arch support. Some of the other ones don't look quite as great for that but maybe since things the Okabashi are much cheaper and look to be fine getting wet I will keep a pair on me for rainy days or wet rides. They still look to be better than my $7 Payless flip flops I've always worn in the past.

for not wear the same shoe 2 days in a row helps a lot. also not wearing ones that are too flat. I (myFeet) love white mountain, Born, BOC, Merrill and Fit flops. I have some Merrill ones that are suede on the inside and they work nice when wet. Take Advil & ice on your feet at night

With Plantar Fasciitis you need a lot of heel support. I have been doing the same research and you are right...the best ones are recommended not to get wet. I ended up settling for a Wolky sandal. Flip flops drive me nuts for all day walking, but Wolky makes them too. The support on the heel is amazing. I've been wearing them around my house because they are more comfortable than going bare foot. I went to a specialty store and they said that they CAN get wet although they shouldn't be submerged for a long period of time.
