Need San Francisco experts

Hi I'm Teresa and I have a vacation planning addiction. Therefore, trying to figure out transit times between San Francisco sights that we want to see is giving me a big fat headache. It does not help that we are from rural Missouri where public transit basically doesn't exist.

So, can anyone tell me where I might find info? We are planning to be brave and use the cable cars, bus, etc. I have the route maps and information but am having trouble translating that to time we will need. Any ideas on how I can at least get a ballpark idea?

Yes just use the site at sfmta.com

Our saving grace is the next bus app.... You just put in your stop and it tells you exactly when that bus or train will arrive. Unbelievably accurate!! Saves you from waiting 45 min for a bus. We use it all the time!
