I'm looking for a good cold salad recipe to go with a pizza lunch we are having at work. Anybody have any good recipes?

Antipasto Salad

I LOVE antipasta salad, but I like it a little different. This coming from an italian.

I use:

iceburg lettuce
tomatos
green and black olives
onion
bell pepper
pepperoni

then, take salami, ham and provolone cheese and roll it up, then cut in slices and put on top.

Sprinkle salad with parm. cheese and add a good italian dressing. Ummm.

I realize that the above recipe is a kraft recipe, but how can you put swiss on an antipasta salad :confused3

I like to make Pasta Salad

Corksrew Pasta (or shells)
Italian Salad Dressing
Mozz. Cheese grated
Celery, cucumbers and green onions chopped into little pieces
And then add some Salad Supreme Spice. Just a few shakes as it is mainly for color!

Mix it all up and stays good for a week.

I do not have exact amounts as I just keep adding and taste tasing but I usually use the whole package of pasta and entire bottle of Italian dressing and a couple cups of cheese.

This makes a huge salad. It's my DH's favorite, but I don't usually make it unless we are having company or going to a potluck. It's just too much for my family to eat in one sitting. My church begs me to bring this when we're having a dinner.

Cut up a whole head of iceberg lettuce. Then cut up a whole head of cauliflower on top. Open a bag of frozen peas and put a layer of them on top of the cauliflower. Spread about a small jar of Helman's light mayo on top of the peas. Cover with a layer of parmesan cheese and a layer of salad seasoning. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Just before serving toss the layers. The mayo, cheese and seasoning make the dressing. Mmmmm. This is good stuff!
