Ok I thought I had saved the threads. Just realized we leave in less than a month and I never did get any safety type of thing to "mark" the kids with. I don't want to write on them. I am leaning towards the bracelets but don't know. Can anyone list some of the web sites to get these from. Maybe the tattoos but I think they are expensive? I don't want tags because my kids don't really wear tie shoes. Either crocs, sandals or velcro tennis shoes!

Ya I tried the writing thing at a local park and it smeared and was just a black blob.

We're taking 'hello my name is" stickers and writing the info on there and slapping it on their shirts each day

Are you going with your spouse? I think as long as you keep an eye on your kids, the tattoo thing may be overkill. I found dressing them in a similar or same tee shirt helped me keep an eye on my kids, as well as using glow sticks as the sun sets. I've taken my kids myself since they were pretty young, and DS has ADHD, so trust me, I know about running off, but I don't believe I've found the need for tattoos on kids in Disney.

We used the bracelets and had our cell phone numbers engraved on them. The company we used was www.shanrene.com. They don't have a minimum order and they ship very fast. The youth bracelet fit around my 6 yo's ankle. The adult size was a bit big for the 12 yo, but the youth would have been too small. They wore them at every park and fortunately, we never had to find out if they would have worked, but we split up a lot due to their ages so I was happy they had them on just in case.

The last time we went to disney,(or any theme park) I put a business card that i make on my computer in my kids' pockets. I have all the info needed for contact including cel phone numbers and what hotel we are at only. No room number! Don't want any pervs lurking around in case my kid accidently drops the card!) I don't do the marker or tattoo thing because they tend to come off with every bit of sweat!!!

sayitbands.com has youth & toddler wristbands that you can put your cell numbers on. I got my kids these. They loved wearing them. I got different colors-even glow in the dark. On my first order, I ordered 5 & they even sent me 5 free.:cool1:

Bought our from reminderband.com and the kids LOVE them! This was the only company I could find that would do the bracelets with the color fill. (What DH wanted.) Our color fill is glow in the dark and just thrills the kids. Check it out!

We use this:

http://www.id-inside.com/

It's great because I can change out the inside tag info as needed (i.e., on our cruise, I put our cabin number on it, etc.)

Good luck with whatever you choose! :goodvibes

We used http://www.shanrene.com/ (you need to click the pic of the rubber braceletts to your right) anyways, they were cheap- like 2 bucks/band and we got our order within a week of ordering. The kids can pick whichever color they'd like. We leave in 2 days, and I'm so glad I got these.

I just ordered from Safety Tat after they sent me a discount code. The code is 15AUG08 and it expires Aug 31.

We used ReminderBand for my best friend's sister's memorial bracelets and had really good service with them, so I went back to them for DS's ID bracelet. DS8 absolutely loves it! He chose glow-in-the-dark bands and we added the black color-fill so the information is easier to read. He's tickled that I had the bracelets engraved to say "IF MY PARENTS ARE LOST PLEASE CALL XXX-XXX-XXXX"...he always enjoys pointing out when Mommy and Daddy are wrong about something...

Only problem we're running into is that the small/child size is starting to run a bit small - darn child decided that he just HAD to go through a growth spurt right before our trip! :headache: Good thing I ordered a medium bracelet in addition to the child size...that can go around his ankle if need be...

ETA: Another nice thing about ReminderBand is that you can print all around the band, rather than just on one side of the band. Allows more room for a second phone number if needed, or if you want to add something like "If Lost, Please Call" Not all band manufacturers allow for the extra lettering...and it's no charge!

I ordered from this website 1 1/2 years ago. I got the toddler size for my DD (17 mo) and it fit around her ankle. She is now 28 mo. and it fits around her wrist. They are still in great condition.

I ordered 1 and got 2 free. The shipping was really quick as well.

We did www.shanrene.com too. 2 silicone bracelets shipped very fast for less than $8. We ordered youth size.

This is what we use: http://tottoos.org/ProductInformation.html
We love them! They stayed on DD for several days, through baths and pool time! We put them on the back of her ankle so it was easy to spot if needed yet they didn't show up in every photo we took. We considered the bracelets but thought we might forget to put it on and/or DD would play with it too much and it would get lost. I think you are better safe than sorry!

Just a head's up on the tattoos - sunscreen can basically destroy them, so you'll need to keep that in mind. My SIL ordered a TON of them, and tried using one at a local amusement park last weekend. She reapplied sunscreen mid-afternoon, but the tats smudged to the point that they were unreadable. She called the maker - I think they were SafetyTat - and they told her that yes, some sunscreen formulas will ruin them. I don't know which formulas, but it's something to check on before you order.

I went with Reminder Bands. My older boy thinks they're way cool, lol.

We have used ours several times and sunscreen didn't do anything to them. But then again, we put them on the lower ankle so it is not a spot that needs to be reapplied a lot either.

For another idea we found that Disney has machines where you can get dog tag type necklaces made. We had them engraved with their name, our name and our cell phone number. Our two youngest loved them and now we keep them to use on other trips to places.
