We're a family of 4. We've been to WDW in 2008. We will go again in this summer and will be on the free table service dinning plan first time. We won't have hopper tickets and we won't have a car.

I need recommendations on where to dine at

1. Downtown Disney
We've been to Wolfgang Puck Express before and willing to try anything but not spicy.

2. Animal Kingdom
AK usually closes at 7pm. Can we still dine in the park after 7pm and get a bus ride back to the resort or I need to go somewhere else such as AKL? Any recommendations on AKL? The restaurants there seem to serve spicy food.

TIA

This past November we tried Paradiso 37 at Downtown Disney and we were very impressed. There was a good variety of food, service was excellent and thought it was really yummy! Would go back there again.

Our fav at Animal Kingdom is Yak & Yeti (also Tusker House for breakfast). Not sure about how late they stay open.

1. Downtown Disney I HIGHLY recommend Raglan Rod. Really good Irish gastropub cuisine and great ales. The live music and dancing is grat for the kids too

The restaurants there seem to serve spicy food. The last ADR time inside the park is well before 7:00. You could get one of the later ones and eat at Yak and Yeti or Tusker House. If this is too early then I would recommend going over to AKL for dinner. Sanaa is the Indian fusion restaurant and the food there would be considered spicy. Boma is the buffet and I would suggest that you might like it. There is a very large selection of foods that range from bland to a little bit spicy. But I like to think of the food here as nicely seasoned rather than spiced. Nothing hot for sure.

TIA

Hope that helps.

ETA: Buses will run from AK to the various resorts for an hour after park closing. If you eat at AKL then you can either take a taxi back to your resort or take a bus to the closest open park and transfer there to your resort bus.

I recommend Rainforest Cafe at either location. We also like T-Rex. I know they get kind of a bad wrap on the boards, but we love the food there, basic (not overly ethnic or spicy) but very good. Also, depending on your kids' ages, they would love the atmosphere. Oh and both are included on the DDP now.

Is Raglan Road included in the basic dinning plan? I got mixed results when I searched from the Internet.

This page does not have Raglan Road

but it is listed in WDW's dinning plan PDF

sorry i don't know about Animal Kingdom (apart from the resort) but you have to give Paradiso 37 a try. we went last year for the first time and loved the food and atmosphere. :goodvibes

We loved the Tusker House breakfast at AK.

Fultons is now on the Dinning plan but its too credits. We have always had good meals there so it might be worth a go.

We enjoyed T-Rex at DTD big portions of food and it is cool to look around.

Rainforest Cafe at AK was also very good, we have never eaten at the one at DTD so not sure how they compare.

As you don't have hoppers you can still eat the the resorts around the MK monorail loop so that adds a few choices there for you.
