Hey there everyone.

We are going to be at WDW for 9 nights in September (yeah free dining) and I am stumped on my last couple of TS restaurants.

So far we have for dinner:

Norway Princess Dinner
Le Cellier
Ohana's
Coral Reef
Garden Grill
Crystal Palace

We are only there for 8 days (late arrival and early departure) so I am still trying to fit in 3 more TS meals.

Any suggestions where to go? I have 2 little girls if that makes any difference.

We aren't big breakfast eaters as 2 of us can't eat eggs so that puts a damper on breakfasts for us.

Help! I'm excited and overwhelmed all at the same time!!!

We have 2 little girls as well! You've got most of our favorites on your list already! If you'll be at MGM, I would suggest Sci-Fi. My DDs loved it and they ate tons there (of course they loved the chocolate shake as well). I would also suggest Tony's in MK. Also, Kona cafe is really good. DDs liked Biergarten too. They had mac and cheese and pretzel rolls that they ate.

Thanks Minnie! I was wondering about Sci-Fi.

It seems more like a lunch place to me or am I totally off on that one? I think it is just because the 4 of us won't sit around a table but in 2's that I am getting that feeling!

If you are visiting MGM, I would suggest an ADR at the Sci-fi. Food and atmosphere are great. You will be seated in cars and get to watch old black and white movies which is a real hit with the kids.

At the Animal Kingdom, there are no sit down meals except the breakfast but there is a Rainforest Cafe there. Every kid and adult for that matter, likes the Rainforest Cafe. Lots of jungle animal animatronics, fish tanks galore and a great store.

We also like the Hoop Dee Doo Review at Fort Wilderness. Our children really enjoyed the food and the entertainment. After the show, we walked over to the store and found several "different and unique" Disney souveniers.

Hope this helps, Lisa

Thanks Lisa! Its great to hear from some more experienced Dis'ers!

We haven't been for 6+ years and then we didn't do very many TS restaurants as we had a toddler and a baby so CS was easier for us back then!

Cape May cafe at the BC is very good. Bomas has a very good selection and you can walk around outside and see the animals. I've heard whispering canyon at the wilderness lodge is a lot of fun so we are trying it this trip. I also heard H&V at mgm was good.

We did dinner. DH had a shrimp pasta I think we he loved. I had a bbq chicken sandwich which I loved as well. Its more of a 'fun dinner' if you go there for dinner. They have different menus for lunch/dinner as well, which you can check out on allearsnet.com.

i think you would love 1900 Park Fair....its in the gf resort and its easy to get to w/ the tram... its a character buffet and they really interact w/ the kids.

Hi!

Here's another one for you to consider...

If you happen to go over to Marketplace/West End/PI, take a look at Raglan Road.

If your children aren't too young, you might be able to enjoy Irish music while having a good "put-meat-on-your-bones" dinner. Some nights, they also feature Irish step dancing too. I bring up children's age as the music doesn't start until around 8:00pm.

(Edit: I remember they were one TS last year.)

...just thinking of something a little different for you to consider.

1900PF would be a good choice. The girls would love the princesses and everyone else would love the excellent buffet.

Also ...how about Boma, plus you get a chance to visit AKL.

and I would like to second some suggestions made by others. Kona and Cape May are two of our favorites.

Let me throw my hat in the ring for Boma, also. DW and I are taking our 6 year old grandson to WDW this weekend. Just the three of us...we are leaving his folks behind. While we have ADRs for a character breakfast with Mickey and a Crystal Palace lunch with Pooh, we decided to give him a real treat by taking him to Boma for dinner. It may not be a character meal, but as with most Disney restaurants, it is extremely kid friendly. They have wonderfully different foods to try and standard fare for the less adventurous. The decor is marvelous and experiencing the lobby of AKL is a treat in itself, for kids of all ages. My son is jealous, but he will have to wait for another trip.

I second Rainforest Cafe for dinner on an afternoon when you are at ak. My children also lover mickey's backyard bbq and the laua at the poly. I think we will do hoop de doo for my yongest ds's 7th bday in nov. but... rainforest is his one and only request each trip I cant wait for the dino restraunt

My girls were 4 & 6 in November. We are going back and July and they were told they each could pick a favorite. They both agreed to Chef Mickey's. We like it there as well as the girls. They both liked Sci-Fi. I thought it was okay. CRT, Ohana and HDDR were other favorites.
