i guess this is a 2 part question.

1. we want to do HHN for the 3 of us and threw around the idea of leaving the baby(2) with a kids nite out sitter, but as baby doesn't talk much we really don't feel comfortable leaving him, so the next best solution we could come up with was get the sitter for one night for both boys so hubs and i could go. then do a second nite for one of us to go with oldest DS(11).
what is the best way to do tickets for this option? i was initially planning on just adding them to our park tickets, but now i'm thinking maybe doing 1 frequent fear and 1 park ticket, then 2 add on-s to the normal tickets for hubs and DS?

now keeping this in mind....

2. i was initially planning on dedicating 2 separate day one for each universal park. now i'm wondering if it is possible to get most of the major rides in both parks done in 1 day. how realistic/insane is this? my oldest is 11 and then my 2y/o, hubbu doesn't do most rides because of his back/vertigo.
so what option would work best?

there is a notice on the hhn website that children under 13 is not recommended.
also in the faq:

This event may be too intense for young children. Adult discretion is strongly advised. There are no child ticket prices available for this event.

for the days in the parks, you might want to plan 2 days, one park for each day.
there are a few places that young children may enjoy spending time at.

yes i have read that and i would not be forcing DS to go if i even tought he wouldn't be able to handle it. i'm more concerned about MH:lmao:
I was trying to figure out which would be most cost efficient is all.

Honestly... Crunch the numbers. figure out what 2 days you are thinking of going, and look at the cost of the FFP vs the stay and Scream. Also keep in mind that the regular FFP isn't good for Fridays or Saturdays, so you might be better off just getting SNS tickets for both nights.

That said... the other advantage to that plan is that after you and hubby do HHN on night 1, you will be better prepared to judge if your DS11 would be able to handle the experience. Remember, it's not just the houses you'd have to worry about, But also the Scarezones thruout the park you'd need to go thru to get to different areas.... and also the amount of alcohol and general more "mature" atmosphere within the park by the guests vs. during the day.

(You can get a SNS discounted ticket even if you aren't planning on doing that park during the day.)

thanks, we were planning on a thursday for us and sunday for DS. now its just a matter of figuring what works best. we looked at the maps and picked out what we wanted to do VS what we HAD to do and i think since DS isn't interested in shows or a couple of the rides we could realistically do them both in one day. since hubs can't go on many rides then he would stay in either seuss land or the water play areas with DS2 while i go with DS1 to do the rides.
