i am scheduled to do my 180 + 10 dinning reservations, but i can't seem to get my numbered reservation to be understood by the online dinning reservation system.

how do you get the disney reservation system to understand the disney vacation club reservation?

it is all numbers?

That's fine that it's numbers - you need to pretend that you are making a reservation, and once that restaurant screen pops up, you need to "Retrieve Reservation". You put in your number, scroll to find your resort and date of check in. All areas must match, or no retrieval of DVC. Of course, you need to make sure the ADR system is open, so if you are trying in the middle of the night, it won't work.

There are no longer any issues with DVC numbers, so it could be something on your end, or a temporary tech glitch.

I have made hundreds of ADRs on new system, and it retrieves just fine now (at first there were some issues, but that's no longer the case).

Good luck, Tiger :)

I'd do what OP said, but first I'd log in to your DVC member account BEFORE you go into the reservations page. I was having the same problem a couple of weeks ago, but then I got completely out of everything, and logged into DVC first, and then went to the reservation page, and it had logged me in there as well. I think my problem was I had two separate logins, because I had a login to WDW page before we bought DVC, and I was using that one.

I've tried to pull up my BWV reservation via the main website several times, yet it never will come up with the confirmation number. I go to the disneyworld.disney.go.com site and try to enter the information into an itinerary, yet the system consistently comes back with an error message saying that it cannot access my reservation. However, it comes up just fine when I go directly to MyDisneyReservation.com/DVC. The problem is, when I access via the second address, I can't save the itinerary to my profile to make dining reservations.

EDIT: Just realized that the DINING RESERVATIONS area DOES recognize the DVC numbers, but trying to enter the same number into the resorts area on the main website does not work.

Second disney.go.com issue... every time I try to enter the Passholder area on the main website, it refuses to call the information I have saved MANY times. I have to enter all those little numbers from the back of my pass every time I try to get to the Passholder section, even though my profile correctly has the information about when my pass expires listed. Does anyone else have this issue?

Can someone please give me the specific web addresses where you are able to access your DVC resort reservation and then go on to make dining reservations? I need the "baby steps" version, please. Thanks for any help!

Start here: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/

Click the 'Book a Reservation' button for the restaurant you want to make an ADR for. Once the booking page loads, look for the following:
Resort Guests & Dining Plan
If you have a Resort reservation or would like to associate your Disney Dining Plan to your dining reservations, please retrieve your resort reservation. (Please be advised that not all restaurants participate in the Disney Dining Plan. Please check your Dining Plan information for participating restaurants.) Retrieve your reservation.

Click on the words 'Retrieve your reservation'. This will allow you to enter your room confirmation number, last name of primary guest, arrival date and resort. Once you do this, you will be able to make up to 10 days worth of ADRs when you are 180 days out from your check-in date.

Yes, and I had already edited my post to indicate I had gotten it before her post... but it's still polite to say thank you when someone takes the time to respond. ;)

I'm sorry...this wasn't directed at you, but the above poster. I always wonder when people respond after someone has already given the correct solution, why? Maybe didn't read the whole thread?

If did read, just wondering why it's necessary to give the same directions again?

Not trying to be difficult...I just want to be able to help whomever I can help, but I do wonder when this happens...

Hope you got it all worked out, Tiger :)

I'm 7 days out for my 180+10, and just called Disney Restaurant reservations to ask a couple of questions. I currently have a room only DVC reservation and the CM told me that if I booked my ADRs without first purchasing the dining plan, once I did purchase it, I would have to rebook everything. So what's the point with 180+10 if that's true? I thought I could add the plan closer to my travel dates (Nov. 6 - 13) and have everything link up. What's your experience?

P.S. CM said something about DVC dining plan being different than Disney plan. Does this sound true?

Thanks, Tricia

The CM you got sounds a little confused to me. You have until 48 hours prior to your trip to add the DVC dining plan to your reservation. I feel very certain that Disney does not expect you to change all of your reservations 48 hours out to add a note that you are DDP. We added DDP at the last minute for our last trip with no problems. We didn't change any reservations. We simply told the hostess at each restaurant that we were DDP when we arrived. The food and restaurants available are the same for all of DDP... DVC or not.
