Need prayers and PD - Update: page 3

I'm trying really hard not to have a pity party, but I'm feeling pretty discouraged. Emily just got over pneunomia in November and now today she's covered with chicken pox. Additionally I have NEVER had chicken pox and my oncologist is freaking out. There is no way I'm not going to be right with my baby. I am usually so able to see all the great and wonderful things we have and I know we do, but right now I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with my weekly chemo and my little one that seems to be sick more than better right now. Thanks for all the good thoughts.

Oh my gosh, Lisa how horrible! You have every right to be depressed. In the scheme of things, Emily's chicken pox are a very minor thing to her, but a major problem for you. Please TRY to stay away from her. Let Lynn help her. Emily needs you more in the long run, so please don't jeopardize your health over a temporary ailment for her.

Please keep us updated on both of you, and please take care of yourself.

Agree with Jill, Lisa, let Lynn take care of Emily for the days ahead, tough as it may be. With your immune system where it is, taking a chance is certainly not prudent. Follow your oncologist's recommendations, I am sure they are to not be near her. My prayers are with you all, wishing you the best. {{Hugs}}

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, you could handle the skin infection, but adults can get a VARICELLA PNEUMONIA that you DON'T want to deal with. Remember, Emily can infect you with skin-to-skin contact, respiratory contact (sneeze, cough,etc), or via drainage from her sores. Be careful ........
