When we go to DLR on 12/10 my DMom and DSis will be coming in to LAX on a flight from PHX. DH, DS and I will be coming in on a flight from Spokane. In theory we will all arrive within 30 minutes of one another and use our rental car to go to GC and check in and go to the park.

But if our flight from Spokane is delayed due to weather or some other problem (we are the folks with the rental car) what would be the best way to get my DMom and DSis to DLR? They have their tickets printed out and their own room reservation on our DVC points so could go to the parks until we arrive.

I'm the "hostess" this trip so want to have an alternative plan if its needed but have no idea what the best "plan B" would be.

Me, and my DD used the Disneyland express from LAX to DLH. It was ok it did take a little longer to get from LAX, and unlike magical express at WDW they did not play any disney things, but they did get us to, and from. We are looking at this trip a car for 1 day, or a private car service when me, and DH go in March.

You might also consider Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle. These van services are usually faster than the bus, but it depends on how long you have to drive around the airport looking for additional fares. They are usually willing to negotiate a fare too. Have a nice trip. Enjoy your escape from the NW cold! :)

As promised, my report on DL Express:

1. Arrived at LAX on 12/3 around 10:30. Got out to the curb around 11:05, terminal 1 (had checked luggage). Bus came around 11:20. We stopped at the 7 other terminals before hitting the road. Bus stopped at DLH and someone got on to collect fares. That took about 10 minutes. I got to Paradise Pier around 12:30.

2. 12/6: 7:45 bus came right on time. Sign said LAX & SNA. The driver explained that LAX passengers would transfer at DLH. Got to DLH, 2 other busses pulled in right after us. LAX was the third bus. Got on, the fare collector came through (I had a roundtrip ticket for $30). Got to LAX around 8:45. Tim Allen Santa Claus movie played on video screen.

Good service!:thumbsup2

Thanks, Debbie, for your post and providing info about Plan B. I hope that you had a great time! I was surprised when I saw you reply to this thread because I am used to seeing you on the DVC threads.

Thanks again and happy holidays! :santa:

We've used Super Shuttle several times. Right to the hotel, no stops, very smooth. Of course, our party filled the Shuttle, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Are family uses the Disneyland Express Bus as well, never had a problem! We have used it 6 or 7 times over the years.

Had a great time! Used my DVC points at PPH, had a great room on the top floor, could see both DL and DCA! Can't wait for DVC to open at GCH (hopefully will be able to get a room at 7 months)!

Happy Holidays to you also!
