After a great night meeting many of you.....I am know taking my other half to the ER. Her stomach got worse. Keeping my fingers crossed that is is nothing. She was up all night in pain, and the work were running from both ends if you know what I mean.

I'm so sorry, I'm praying - I was sick the night before with something similar, but am fine now.

5:00pm Were finally back home!!! Cayla is feeling better, and she is newly diagnosed with Colitis, and was dehydrated from the vomitting and diarrhea. A Cat Scan confirmed the Colitis. She was pretty dopey at the ER...Plenty of Morphine and fluids there. She has a bunch of new prescriptions and was told to eat a bland diet....I'm sure the Mexican food last night did her wonders!?!?!?! I'm going to fix her something to eat and put her to bed. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm exhuasted, cold and hungry. This weather is nasty, hope all are inside.

I am glad to hear that Cayla is back home; and all the prayers and pixie dust worked. Make sure she sticks to that bland diet...you def. do not want a repeat of today.

So glad to hear Cayla is home and resting comfortably. You are right, that Mexican probably really set her off. I do remember her saying she hasn't been feeling well for the past two weeks, maybe the Mexican was a blessing in disguise, at least now she knows what's wrong and can treat it appropriately.

Hi all. Cayla is resting today, she is having a hard time getting an appt. with her Dr. to get cleared to go back to work. I got her to eat last night. She ate about 2 quart sized Wonton Soups minus the Wontons (Good thing I like them.....too bad we can't open the refrig. to eat them) Today I got her to the diner after a Dr. appt. eat some soup and a bagel . Why can't we open the fridge, well Cayla's place is in one of the hard hit areas from the strom. She's been without power for 12+ hours now. Even the emergency lights in the stairwells of the building are out. It got to cold for me, the heat and oven are both electric. With my arthritis in my hands and my bad neck I don't do well in cold so I am at my place now. She is waiting it out at her place, she doesn't want to leave the fury children. She is feeling much better today, she is in a lot less pain and discomfort. She says hello to everyone and thanks you all for the PD.

Glad to hear she's feeling well enough to WANT to go back to work.

Sorry to hear that she's been living without power, we've been through that and it stinks. Luckily this storm has just flooded in, that's dealable as long as there is heat and power.

Hope the Dr. clears her soon and she can get back to her life as usual.

Very true that wanting to work is a good sign. She is mad that she was too sick to work yesterday and isn't cleared to go back tonight. She loves working in the nasty weather. She said it reminds her of why she does her job, she truly gets to help those that need her help. And to be honest, today I'm missing the days I worked in Disaster Recovery. Turns out I'll semi be out of work a couple days myself, my glass shop is soaked. And the rest of my basement will need some remediation work as well,

Whew...well, the power came on about 2am this morning. Boy am I glad of that!!

Updates...
I got an emergency squeeze in appt with the GI guy. He thinks the whole thing was an infectious process and will let me return to work tomorrow night.

The bad side of this...I have to get "scoped" just before I leave on the long trip (my choice for peace of mind!)

I have been able to eat, now just waiting for the plumbing to work right
The power was out for almost 48 hours, areas are still without.

Stacey is here today, she came up with emergency supplies, like candles and water.

I want to thank everyone for all the well wishes, and PD I am sure it all helped!

So, when can we do this again?? The meeting in NYC that is, not the illness and power failure!

Ah, yes, very different from the way 20 pastors, seminarians, and notable lay folk did it, renting cars and following the maps - the stories I could tell!

I really want everyone who sent along PD to know I really appreciate all the kind thoughts. What with the power out and my tummy acting up - it was a rough week!

My wonderful partner (Tiggr33) was with me throughout the whole ER thing, and made sure I drank, and got the right foods for the first couple of days. She did have to head to her place, because it just was too cold here without heat. But - she came back the next day with candles, and water and food!!

Then tonight we got to sort out the fridge - take photos and catalog all the icky messy packages for the insurance claim...


She is tops...
