Need pin trading advice?

Each trip we each wear a lanyard full of pins for trading. We each pick a separate character or theme (last time I picked transportation and found pins with boats, planes, trains, monorail etc). My DGDs name is Jessica. Are there enough Jessica Rabbit pins out there for her to choose this theme? What themes do you collect/trade? We are not collectors, we only do pin trading for fun. The pins never come off the lanyards.

We don't usually have a theme. DS12 just likes certain pins, mostly the villains. I get him cheap pins off ebay and then he trades them for what he wants. He has a lanyard of the ones he wants to trade and another of his "keepers".

I'm just starting out, so I did my keepers on one side of the lanyard and traders on the other for now

There are a number of Jessica Rabbit pins out there - not as plentiful as other characters but I did see them.
This last visit we had themes:

DD - Chip & Dale

DS - Goofy

Me - Eeyore & the CM Lanyard pins with the villians in green inside a black pot. I got 4 of the 5 - missing Cruella - you can buy a similar one that is now part of the "hidden Mickey" collections but it is larger. I guess I will have to keep my eye on e-bay to complete the set.

DH was the lanyard spotter and would keep his eyes open for CM's and alert the kids.

Everynight we would review our lanyards and the pins that were positive keeps we took off and put aside. Several of our pins were traded multiple times over the course of our visit.

I also bought several LE that were date related ie: New Years Day 2007 etc. Along with resort and ride pins that we didn't have. Having a Disney Visa I was able to purchase some Visa holder exclusive pins also.

You might want to choose a different theme for your daughter. In my experience, Jessica Rabbit would be very hard to find on lanyards. I traded over a 100 pins in December and never saw a Jessica Rabbit pin on the cm's lanyards. My theme was Chip & Dale and actually only found a couple of those. A cm made a comment to me that Chip & Dale pins never stay on her lanyard very long. I am going back in October and decided on a villian theme.

There have been quite a few Jessica Rabbit pin released (especially in the past few months) but you will find very few of them on lanyards.
