My friend and her husband have been trying for a baby for a LONG time. Earlier this year, they'd had a successful IVF attempt (twins), but she later miscarried both. They had another successful IVF this summer, and the baby is doing great...except that now she was diagnosed with placenta previa, has had several scary bleeding episodes, and some contractions this week (pregnancy is less then 24 weeks along, so baby won't survive outside the womb yet). She is in the hospital again, more bleeding. If you have any PD to share, send it her way. This is so maddening to me, it seems like she can't get a break!
