We're going on our very first cruise in just two weeks and I'd like to start a list of different pages that I would like to create once the cruise is over. I plan on bringing a small journal/notebook to write in at the end of the day (just going to jot down, where we went, what we did, what we ate, weather, etc) I also plan to collect possible menus, daily newsletters, tickets, postcards, etc to incorporate into my pages too. My question though is, do you have specific pages that you do for your scrapbook? I have looked at many pages online and have found some very creative pages that I fell in love with and plan on doing the same for my album. Some were a page of the terminal, a page of the food they ate, a page of just coming in and out of the ports. I like these ideas and would like some others as well. I would like to do pages of the chocolate buffet, sunrise/sunset panoramics, life jacket page, a page of all restaurants and for the first page in my album, I would like to make a big 'ole journaling page that included our day to day activities, what we ate, what excursions we did, which shows we seen, where we ate, what the weather was like, etc. So let's get our creative minds working and come up with some great page ideas!!!

Last year, when we cruised, I kept a very detailed journal. I wrote everything about the day in it that night. I even wrote down what everyone ate for dinner. I had my camera with me everywhere and took zillions of pictures. Then, when I got home, I just referred to the journal and the pictures and that became my inspiration. I did my scrapbook chronologically starting with our booking with our travel agent. Since I saved every tiny piece of memorabilia (yes, even the confetti and streamers from the Golden Mickeys), all of this became part of my scrapbook. I wanted it all in one book so just added more and more posts to the book to the point that I had to actually build a new spine because the original just wouldn't stretch that far. All of the
Navigators are included, day by day. I slit them in half along the fold and made windows in cardstock so that both sides would show. Needless to say, a forklift is needed to lift this album but it brings back every single memory, so vividly. Have a blast doing it...I know you will!

I am so new to scrapbooking that I didn't even know that I was going to do one when we cruised Memorial week this summer. For some reason, I kept every little scrap from the cruise. When we got home, I decided to make a one. I'm doing mine chronologically. You can take a look at what I've done so far.

I'm a novice so you can tell I'm not up to par with some on this thread. I'm having so much fun doing this.

For a novice you are doing great pages!! I especially like the newsletter idea...it's realy cute.

You should be very proud of your work...it's very, very nice.

Loved your pages Angie! I need to get started on mine too.

Great pages! I just revived my 2peasinabucket gallery after four years of not posting layouts and I am planning to also post out DCL pages after we return from our September cruise.

Your pages are helping to get me excited. I noticed our daughters even have the same swimsuits: the pink Lands End tankini with the butterfly appliqué. I was also excited to see Pocahontas on the ship. She is my DD's favorite princess and I was hoping we might see her on the Magic.

I also noticed your DD was wearing a Pocahontas costume at the Character breakfast. May I ask where you bought it? My DD wants to be Pocahontas for Halloween and I need it before we leave for our cruise because we are going to MNSSHP after the cruise. Anyway, I thought you might be able to lead me in the right direction.

Thanks!

I just love looking at other peoples scrapbooking pages...its fun to see how creative people can get.

I have made two Disney cruise scrapbooks...each chronological. I took tons of pictures (digital cameras are really a plus!) saved everything possible before and during the cruise because you just never know until you sit down to start working on your album what you'll end up using.

Our first cruise scrapbook was for our 25th anniversary so I combined alot of 25th and Disney themed items for it. I also selected a larger album (11x16) and kept things like for instance the Navigator all in tact. Our second album I bought was smaller (8x8) so that meant some things were to large to fit in so I cut out what I wanted.

I always pick up three extra copies of Navigators, etc. down at Guest Services.

You'll have to let us know when you post to twopeas. I'll probably be posting my Pirate night spread tonight. I finished it last night.

I got the Pocahontas costume from disneyshopping.com last year before Halloween. I'm pretty sure I bought it in Sept.

Wow, Cass, thanks for sharing that 2002 album! Wonderful job capturing the experience. :thumbsup2 I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to borrow a few of your ideas when I scrap our 7/22 double dip pictures. I loved the alphabet page at the end to use up pictures! :teeth:

Angie--great job.

I "scraplifted" several ideas from Cass's cruise album. In fact, I was at a crop and found very similar paper for the sailaway party page! :sunny:

All I can say is WOW!!! Great pages!!

Maslex----I think you have some good ideas on what you want to do. Of course the suggestions and pictures that were posted are awesome. I think alot will depend on if you're taking a Disney Cruise or another cruise line. On our first cruise last year, we went w/a 4 day on Carnival. I took pictures of the waitstaff as well as our cabin and the towel animals. I also kept the daily newsletters we rec'd, key cards--even the wrapper from the chocolates that were left on our pillow! My husband thought I was nuts but they turned out to be pretty good pages. He also thought I was nuts when I took a picture of the formal dinner we were served but lots of my friends think it's a good idea. EVERYONE asks me about the food.

When we went to Disney 2 yrs ago, we stayed in Alligator Bayou of POR...I took pictures of the bathroom shower curtain!! :rotfl: Everything was so cute and so "Tom Sawyerish" I just had to take the shot! Some day the kids will really appreciate that page!

Since I'm a travel agent I appreciate the poster mentioning she kept her info from her TA. I'm working on a group right now and they're keeping all of our emails and info.

HAVE FUN!!
