Okay, here are the adr's we have...
12/4 Whispering Canyon dinner
12/5 H & V Fantasmic! package
12/6 Crystal Palace breakfast - 1 hour before park opens
12/8 Breakfastosaurus - 1 hour before park opens
Cape May dinner
12/9 Rose & Crown/Candlelight Processional package
12/10 1900 Park Faire breakfast
12/11 CRT breakfast - 1 hour before park opens
12/12 Chef Mickey's breakfast
12/13 LTT - before MVMCP

Now, I really would like to keep those that will get us into the park before it opens. I'm wondering if I could get away with NOT going to Chef Mickey's. If the boys are doing Crystal Palace with Pooh, Breakfastosaurus with Donald, 1900 Park Faire with Mary Poppins, and CRT with Cindy and friends, will they really miss having breakfast with Mickey? They'll see him at LTT for dinner, right?

Should I keep these or cancel one, or two. We are staying at a timeshare, so we'll have a full kitchen available for breakfasts or dinners that we don't have adr's for.

Thanks for opinions. I thought about cancelling Cape May, but my husband and boys live for shrimp. I planned that meal especially for them.

Hi, we just got back. You have a lot of character meals planned, maybe you should decide what menu's appeal to you the most? We did two character meals...Crystal Palace- thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and character interaction was great, and LTT. The meal was good, and character interaction was also very good. No, Mickey was not at LTT. We also got lucky at CRT for dinner. Cinderella was greeting in the waiting area and posing for pictures. If you are at the parks at opening, your children will be able to see and take pictures with all the characters they love. Even Lilo & Stitch were at MGM right after opening, for autographs and photo's. Have fun whatever you decide to do :flower:

tzuhouse...sounds like you really did your homework! I'm a real planner and it seems like you came up with a good one. Like you, I really think it's important to get the earliest possible breakfast when eating inside a park to give you that heads up on the crowd.
Your question is a tough one, though, in that Chef Mickey's is a personal, family favorite. We make sure to make it our very first breakfast on a trip. The food choice is wide...and the character interaction good. It's a little loud, a little crzy...but again, especially on the first day, that's kind of what you want! (And it seems most negative reviews of Chef Mickey's are more for lunch and dinner.)
But having said that, it may not be a bad idea to skip it. You already have three pre-park-opening breakfasts, which is great. Kids may want a break and just have a bowl of cereal a couple of mornings. We also stay at time shares and during a typical week, we'll have 3-to-4 character breakfasts at most...and 3-to-4 at home.
One other suggestion, how about skipping the Park Fair on the 10th and keeping Chef Mickey on the 12th? I hate to suggest that, because there may be other factors at work in your planning.....but between the two non-park breakfasts, we much prefer Chef Mickey's.
Anyway, as I always say to other DisBoarders, no matter what choice you make, it's always a right one because after all, you're talking about Disney!
Have a great time!

I agree with cd&kids. Skip 1900 Park Fare and keep Chef Mickey's. The layout of the buffet at the GF is poor. People walking around in circles not knowing where to go next in our 2 visits there. The ambience is much more "Disney" at Chef Mickey's.
