We are currently booked for the first week of May '08 for a Grande Villa at SSR. We will likely be changing this ressie to a 2-bedroom suite (my sister found out she is pregnant and due a month before the trip and likely won't join us). It will be DH, myself, DS(9), DD(8) and my parents (mid-50's). DH and I have stayed at SSR before (our home resort). But with the borrowing and banking of points, we will have "extra" points to use so we are thinking of switching the ressies to a different DVC resort. I need your opinions ...

VWL (I think this is my first choice, but I know little about it)
AKL (We have stayed here before and loved it)
Boardwalk? Beach Club?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

Go with your gut and try VWL. It is an absolutely beautiful resort, with the Northwest theme. The lobby of the main resort is unbelievable and really gives you that woodsy feel.

Your kids are 8 and 9, so I assume that you would like being close to the Magic Kingdom. You can take a boat from the resort, and you are very close to the the ticket and transportation area which will put you on a monorail to MK. The pool is very nice as well.

The Beach Club has the advantage of being able to walk to Epcot. You would have a great time with the kids with just a short walk to the Boardwalk resort. There is nightly entertainment (magic acts, comedy etc..) plus you have a ton of restaurant options again with two resorts so close and Epcot. The Beach Club has the best pool we have ever been to (Stormalong Bay). The kids love having the sand, it is amazing

We plan on trying all the resorts at some point. I dont think you can go wrong, and since you have already stayed at AKV and SSR why not go for something different.

Best of luck! I wish all decisions were this difficult (and fun) :)

Beach Club! :thumbsup2

Your kids will LOVE it there!
