We're in the same boat. We were to travel Wednesday night out of Milwaukee, but have decided to shift to leaving Tuesday night to avoid the storm.

Fortunately, the change only cost us $60. Better safe than sorry!

Actually - I already had a room for Tuesday night...

Here's the whole story:
1) Arranged trip for my family and me to arrive at 10:00 p.m. on Wed, 12/9.
2) 2 weeks ago, my company informed me that I needed to attend a business meeting in central Florida on (wait for it....) 12/9!
3) I scrambled around, splitting my airline tickets from the rest of my families and arranged for me to arrive on 12/8, while the rest of my family would keep the original schedule of arriving the night of 12/9. (That cost $93, which the company is picking up.)
4) Booked the Hyatt at Orlando International for that night (I would be arriving at 10:00 p.m., and was going to be working the entire day anyway).

Therefore, I already had the room; I just needed to switch the airline tickets. So... my family gets to hang out at MCO on Wednesday until I get done with my business meeting. Doesn't that sound like fun?

Actually, if I can get a break in the morning, I may just drop them off at the Wilderness Lodge, where we're staying on Wednesday night.

We would have probably been on the same flight. We are flying out of Moline, but now tomorrow morning.

I wish we could leave earlier, but Dave has to teach. Darn college kids and finals coming up. At least we have a morning flight so we could always take a later one if necessary. I do love leaving the snowy Midwest behind and spending time in sunny FL!

Have them take the Magical Express and you can just meet them when you are done! They can relax at the Lodge by the pool instead of at the airport. Have a great time!

So, I'm on the interstate this morning heading east and see strange looking lights ahead of me. It was a semi in the eastbound lanes except he was facing west. Not good.
