I'm looking for somewhere to take my mom for her Mother's Day lunch (we'd go the day before Mother's Day).

We'll be at EPCOT for Flower and Garden Fest, but she isn't interested in any of the EPCOT restaurants (the ones she likes, we either just did in March, or are planning to visit in early September).

I was kind of leaning toward hopping the monorail to the Poly and eating at Kona, but the menu at PYC looks like something Mom would like.

Was wondering what people's experiences have been?

PYC is okay. We went last week for dinner and had a good time. We got some sangria which we had when we were there for college break long ago. We remembered it from then (living in the past) of course tastes have changed and we drink a lot of red wine not sangria so needless to say the sangria was not good. It was way too sweet we ended up leaving it and that is hard for me to do. I wish we had just got a bottle of wine. I was thinking like a 21 old college kid not an almost 30 mommy. They give you awesome freshly baked bread and roasted garlic and butter which was sooo good. We started off with the calamari which was great too. Our entrees were just okay for the money. I had the Filet. For close to 40 dollars I have had better. My DH had the lamb which he said was just okay too. I am wondering if we just ordered the wrong kind of entrees for the restaurant. Dessert was really good I had a carmalized custard dessert awesome. DH had some chocolate cake dessert that looked good but heavy. The atmosphere is nice and the service was great. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing which is nice. It is a nice choice but if you are looking for steak try a different restaurant.

I like to go there because they have roasted garlic that you put on bread for a free appetizery thing, and the Cappuccino Gelato. Really, I go there, have dinner, but really all I am there for is the Cappuccino Gelato.

Yeah, that roasted garlic is awesome!

While I am not going to swoon when talking about PYC, we had lunch there last October and liked everything...we shared some sort of flat bread, I had a few glasses of wine, and I think we had a good salad, too. If we were at DTD at lunchtime again, we would definitely dine there again. It has pretty views, also.

We go all the time to PYC for dinner and we LOVE IT. It is always a must do for us when visiting WDW

Nice to hear some good reviews. We are dining here for the first time in a couple weeks and are looking forward to it. :thumbsup2

We like the PYC for lunch or dinner. Also keep in mine you can also order off the dinner menu for lunch. They don't have all of the items available but they have most.
