Need Opinions on MVMCP Dates

OK since I am a first timer for a hard ticketed event I need some opinions (I am also a May person going in November so I am out of my element). If the dates that have leaked hold true then there will be a MVMCP on the Sunday, Tuesday and Friday we are there. We will be there Nov 12-19. I am worried that left over Veteran's Day crowds will be there on Sunday night, and then I am worried that the Thanksgiving crowd will come in for the Friday night party since they don't offer the parties Thanksgiving week. So I am thinking the Tuesday party will be our best bet - is my rationale on par or am I just officially crazy?

I know some of you have a take it easy day the day of the party - what park do you hit the day after? We will have a "turning 4 while we are there" son and I don't want to wipe him out.

I don't have experience but right now for dates we're looking at the 13-20 so we will be there the same time. I was thinking the tuesday party would be best too. I would never recommend doing one towards the end of your trip because if it rains all night and the party's cancelled you get a voucher to come back on another party night but if you're leaving the next day????? This happened to my friend. So if my dates stick (i'm waiting to see if FD is announced) then we will be at the party that tuesday!!

Here is my opinion for what it is worth....

I would wait until I am there before buying a ticktet to MVMCP. Usually only a couple "sell out" and it is closer to Christmas (I believe) so I would wait.

The reason is twofold. First is the weather. If you buy your ticket this far in advance you don't know what the weather is and it could raining, making your party miserable.
Next, they can change or add days.

When we went back in 2009 we went the week following Thanksgiving and I went ahead and bought my party tickets months in advance (thanks to all the "sell out" talk here on the boards)
I chose a friday due to the other dates were in confliction to something I wanted to do...a parade, dinner with friends...etc.
Anyway the week we got there they added an extra party day and the whole week was beautiful weather wise....except Friday. They called for rain. And guess what....it rained, poured actually the entire day!
We spent the morning at DHS wet, relaxed at the resort for the afternoon to dry off and then headed to MK at 4pm.

It was cold, 54 degrees, windy and the rain never let up. They cancelled the "snow" on Main St. (obviously), they canceled the 2nd parade and the fireworks show was shorter. It really made for a terrible time. We paid all this money and didn't get to enjoy half the stuff offered.
Only 1 party sold out that year....and it certainly wasn't mine.

So I say wait. JMO.
