We have PSs for Jiko and California Grill in a week and a half and wanted some opinion. I'm worried about Jiko, I've never had African food before, please reassure me! What's good? What should I avoid?
Also, we want to hit a World Showcase restaurant for lunch one day with a Vacation Kingdom lunch voucher from Connections. What do you guys recommend? Please don't say Akershush...been there, done that, everyone but me refuses to go back.

don't worry about JIKO - the food is great. If you like seafood try the Monkfish - it's wonderful!
DH - however didn't like the lamb shank - it was served with toasted couscous which he didn't like. If you see that your meal is served with something you don't think you'll like (couscous....) ask them to bring it without.
As far as World Showcase - we had a great buffet lunch at Norway.
Enjoy!

Jiko is inredible! My #3 pick with Citricos as #1 and Artist Point as #2 overall on my last trip. If you like red meat, get the beef tenderloin with the Macaroni & cheese and cabernet reduction. It was the BEST steak I had in the World INCLUDING Yachtsmans Steakhouse.

Rose & Crown is great for lunch as is Le Cellier. Had really good meals in both of them. Would rate Le Cellier first. I'm a huge red meat person.

For snacks - ANYTHING from the Kringla Bakery in Norway. I am having to demote Beavertails since they now no longer cook them fresh but reheat previously fried ones. They are ok but just not them same as they were.

We've not been to Jiko, so I'm no help with that. We have gone to Boma, and loved it. We chose Boma as our first venture into African food. I was a little nervous, and figured worse case senerio, I could fill up at the kids buffet, however there was no need, everything was wonderful and have a meal planed at Boma for our upcomming trip.

Our favorite World Showcase resturants is Le Cellier. That is one of our must dos every trip. In fact, I'll be having luch there in nine days:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc .

Enjoy!!

Our current favorite for lunch at WS is Chefs de France. Ask for Anthony...great server!

For World Showcase, I would highly recommend Marrakesh. The food is wonderful and the restaurant is beautiful, plus you get entertained by a belly dancer. I'm not sure how your voucher works, but the appetizers are especially good. I wish I had a glass of the mint ice tea now. I can't wait to go back!

We also have had excellent meals at San Angel, Teppanyaki, Tempura Kiku, Akershus (sorry) and Le Cellier. We found Rose 'n Crown just okay.

Our vouchers are good for an appetizer, main course, drink and dessert. It cost me $30 so I'm looking for an excellent deal. I'm appreciating all these recommendations!

California Grill was wonderful! The atmosphere, our service, dinner, everything was great.

My DH and I ate at Nine Dragons on our las trip. I know you can get Chinese food at home, but this was great. DH wasn't feeling well and thought eating might improve his tummy. We didn't have a PS, so we ended up there. I think we had the dinner sampler for two. More than enough food was served, and the cool quite atmosphere was a nice break from the heat.

Enjoy!

Jiko is wonderful, infact my favorite WDW restaurant--and I'm a picky eater!

#2 for me would probably be Citrico's with CG at #3.

My favorite WS restaurant 9sit down) would be Le Cellier. If you do'nt have a Benihana near you, Teppanyaki would also be a good choise--if you do have a Benihana near you, it's the exact same thing, so I'll leave it up to you to decide.

Mmm, we love Jiko! My DH isn't a too adventurous eater, and he still raves about the monkfish. I had the curry shrimp and that was awesome, too. A must-do for us.

We like the food at CG, it's just an extremely loud restaurant. It's not a must-do for us, but we'll definitely go back at some point.

I think our favorite WS restaurants are Le Cellier and Akershus. I recommended Le Cellier to a group of 8 women that I just went to WDW with, and everyone really liked it (and one of the women is picky!!!!). I think it's a pretty safe choice for most people.
