Hello All!

We are a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 child who is 2 1/2). There are some great deals on flights right now and we were thinking of booking a last minute vacation. It would be my daughter’s first trip! We are looking into going June 19th-June 23rd staying at Art of Animation. We would only be able to do 3 park days due to the flight times. We would purchase 3 day park hoppers. Yesterday all 4 parks were available for most of our days so I was about to book and then went to double check the park pass reservation system and Magic Kingdom became unavailable to book for all 3 days. 🙁 So I did not go through with booking it yet. I keep checking and it seems to not be opening up. Of course with a 2 1/2 year old we were planning on going to the Magic Kingdom at least 2 of the days. My question is do you think we should still book and hope that we can park hop to Magic Kingdom at least 2 of the days? I read that they haven’t restricted park hopping yet - I am just worried with the summer crowds coming that they will and we won’t be able to go. Thank you all in advance for your opinions - I really appreciate it! 🙂

I wouldn't. I'm all for last minute trips, and I'm all for trips with toddlers, but I wouldn't do it I'm a limited capacity Park Pass environment.

I don't think there's any chance that they're going to restrict park hopping for capacity reasons, but with no FastPass and no opportunity to rope drop, your ability to actually get anything done in Magic Kingdom will be severely limited and not worth the price of a Hopper.

Side note, everyone says go "MK heavy" when visiting with little ones, but my kids have always had the most fun at Animal Kingdom.

I don't think you have anything to worry about in terms of Park hopping. The park hopping thread has noted even during the busiest weeks this year, no parks were limited to hopping. I would totally go for it!
