We have a 2 year old w/mult. food allergies and digestive problems. She can eat 5 foods and a sp. formula. My parents are coming with us, so for at least 1 to 2 meals she won't be with us. They will eat a table service lunch, we will eat dinner type of trade off. If she is eating with us, I have a sp. formula, etc. I've talked to POFQ about microwaving her some carrots (one of the few foods she can eat) at their food court and they are more than happy. I'll bring them in a container, they just have to microwave them. I haven't talked to any restaurants. Is it worth it? We are so used to this at home.

My choices are based on the fact that my husband and I don't like seafood. He is VERY picky about food. We also are not breakfast people! We both like steak (I know-picky,picky).

We also wanted to find places that didn't focus on the food.

How do these sound for dinner (we have the meal plan)? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Chef Mickey
1900 Park Fare
Concourse

wispering canyon or Boma (we don't know if we would like Boma or not and we would have my daughter).

hollywood vine or 50s Cafe or Mama Melrose (plan to be at MGM one night and decided we would eat there for convience- we might split up for this one)

My parents love all foods- so I think while we are at 1900 Park Fare they will eat at Narcoossee's or Artists Point.

While I can't speak for each specific restaurant, I do know that the chefs at Disney go out of their way to help people with food allergies. I would suggest that once you get your PS's settled, you give each restaurant a call and explain your situation. I'm sure they will each work with you to ensure your DD has everything she needs. I have heard countless stories about chefs calling people at home before they arrive or visiting their tables once in the restaurant to make sure that they are addressing the specific allergies.

Also, if you want a WONDERFUL steak dinner, make sure to check out LeCellier in the Canadian Pavillion. YUM!!! :thewave:

Hope this helps!

Keep on the chef's! I cannot stress that enough. I have been at the World since May 5th. I have gone to 2 parks for a couple hours each. They made me gf/df waffles in the mornings, but used a brand of mix that also processes gluten containing foods. I have been sick every day since we got here. We finally figured it out about 2 days ago and I am still recovering from this! Also I had made PS's and talked to chef's but when I arrived they had nothing on me!!! Call them as soon as you make your PS's then call again 7 days out then 24 hours out is my personal suggestion! Good luck! Oh and bring foods you KNOW she can eat just in case!
