Going to Disneyland in October, would like to take a day out to take a tour of Hollywood, stars homes, all that touristy stuff. I have found a couple of websites on the internet. Does anyone have any personal experience with a tour and could recommend or warn me on certain tour companies?? Thanks for the help!!!!!

We have always used Pacific Coast Gray Line. We were at DL last year but didn't do a trip, but we have over the years found them really good. Speaking for ourselfs we were not impressed with the tour of the stars homes unless things have changed in the last couple of years the buses wer not allowed down some streets. There is a couple of tours which we enjoyed one was a tour of Hollywood and LA with few stops along the way and also the LA, HW andUniversal studio is ok. If you haven't been to Universal I would do the tour that goes just there. Hope that is some help . We're off to WDW this year

I lived in LA for 11 years before we moved to Las Vegas.

The best tour I did, when family was in town & wanted to do the tourist thing, was a tour called "Graveline Tours". This was back in 1989. This company had a converted hearse & took you around West Hollywood, Mid-City, Beverly Hills and Hollywood and pointed out houses, hospitals, apartment bldgs, etc. where the famous & infamous have passed on. The tour was a cassett tape that played in the stereo, but the driver would stop the tape and point out various celebrities' homes & stuff. I honestly don't know if this company is still around, but you may want to search the internet to see.

If you want to try a studio tour, try Warner Brothers; I've never taken it but I've heard good things about it. You have to make a reservation; http://wbsf.warnerbros.com/cmp/addition.htm#VIPTOUR is their URL. I would stay away from NBC; I did an intership there in college and the NBC pages were the tour guides and I always felt sorry for the people on the tours!!

Hope this helps.
