Tell me your favorite fun places to dine, where the experience is as good as the food....

Criteria:
NOT 50's PRIME TIME CAFE (already on my list!)
NOT O'HANA (already on my list)
appropriate for 4 & 7 year old girls
No more than one table service credit
Prefer no character meals

What do you think?

My family really enjoyed the Whispering Canyon for the "antics".. Kids were doing wooden horse races and passing ketchup to tables that requested ketchup. Just a lot of fun. Our server was really into the act as well.

The food was also very good. They also offer free refills for their shakes. So good!

My kids DS (6) and DD (9) love the Biergarten. They had a ball this last trip dancing down in the courtyard to the Oompah Band. They don't have a "childrens" section on the buffet but they do have plenty of food that my kids loved.

They also like Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. The thought the dancer was amazing and they loved tasting the foods from our plates. Kids choices are rather limited here.

Hope this helps some. :)

Another vote for Whispering Canyon.

It is good food, fun stuff for the kids (and adults) to enjoy and a wonderful boat ride to WL from MK.

It is one of our favorite places to eat at Disney, and DH's very favorite.

Some hints to make the most of your trip, ask for straws, ask for ketchup, drink lots so you need more than 2 refills!! See what happens. It is a good time!

Another Biergarten vote. My kids had a blast dancing and even begged us to stay for the 2nd performance.

WCC (fun stick horse races, wooden nickels), Teppan Edo (my kids like watching the food cooked in front of them), Coral Reef (my kids like watching the fish/divers), Sci Fi, (we have had fairly good food there and the kids like eating in the cars watching the clips).

Another vote for WCC. Good food and allot of fun for kids & adults.

We can vouch for both Whispering Canyon and Biergarten. Both are outstanding. Just make sure you're at Biergarten when the band is playing. The experience at Whispering Canyon is somewhat dependent upon your server. When you get a good one, it is a lot of fun.

Les Chefs de France was great food and the fun visit from Ratatouille's Remy.

We were also looking for a new fun place to take the kids. We'd never gone to Coral Reef, so that's the one we're going to try this year.

WCC has my vote too. Best meal we had all trip IMHO.
DS(7) had a blast and loved the fact he could have all the milkshake refills he wanted.

I was thinking about WCC - would it be to similiar to O'hana - or are they very different in terms of food and experience?

We also really enjoy Coral Reef!

You mentioned TS credits, so I'm assuming you wanted something on the dining plan, but I just wanted to send out some love to the TRex Cafe. I think this is my DDs favorite dining experience at Disney!

Our family really enjoys Coral Reef, food/service is good and watching the fish and other creatures in the tank is so much fun. A nice relaxing meal.

We also enjoy SciFi- adults like the food and kids really like sitting in the car watching the fun movie clips.

Another spot we really like and is a must do is Kona Cafe for dinner, we eat then go sit out on the beach to watch Wishes!
