Day 1 -arriving late not sure what park we will go to

Day 2 - Magic Kingdom -Dinner at Ohana's 5PM

Day 3 HollyWood Studios -maybe fantasmic package for dinner? Mama Melrose or Hollywood and vine? any suggestions? Is it worth it to eat at one of these two places. My kids are 5 and my daughter will be 8 that week.

Day 4 Epcot - Dinner at Asherkus at 6:30

Day 5 Animal Kingdom - Donald safari breakfastTusker house breakfast

Day 6 Hollywood 1/2 the day? then Downtown Disney

Day 7 Magic Kingdom -Hoop De doo Dinner

Day 8 Epcot - 1900 Park Fair 6:25 pm

Day 9 Magic Kingdom - Crystal Palace 1pm then going home that night

So I have one more table service if I do that fantasmic package. 2 more table service if I don't. Any suggestions?

I considered Aloha but I didn't know if it would be too hot in August for that. Plus I didn't want to chance making that for the first night and not making it if our plane is delayed. We are supposed to get to the airport around 3pm that day. We will fill in the rest of our meals with table service.

I always go to Chef Mickey's. It's easy to get to from either MK or Epcot and your kids will love the characters. The meal is great too. We enjoy both breakfast and dinner, so you have an option on what to do. P.S. We have no kids and still always eat there at least one meal each trip, last trip we ate there 3 times!!

Maybe I'm counting wrong but I see that you already used 8TS and you're staying for 8 nights. Dining plan is based on number of nights, not the number of days.

Right now I don't have anything planned for day 1 or 3. I was thinking maybe doing the fantasmic. I know Hoop Dee Doo is 2 credits. So I have one left I guess?

Right now you have 8 credits if you are doing the fantasmic seating. So you have no credits left.

Correct if I book the Fantastic package I am done. Question is it worth it, or do I book something better at one of the other parks/resorts.

Personally I have done Fantasmic package, the ONLY thing I dislike about it is that you have to eat SOOO EARLY!! We were starving by 8pm and we had to get to the private entrance at a decent time to get great seats, so IMO I wouldnt do it again, however if you are going at a time thats peak, you may want to consider this, the lines for fantasmic to get in w/o priority seating can be INSANE!! :scared1:

But for the price, everyone in your party gets app, dinner and desert per person!! (that I liked!)

you probably wouldnt make a fantasmic seating for dinner etc if you are ariving at 3pm, you may wanna check on that. I suggest Cape May (1 TS, crab legs, shrimp cocktail, buffet!!) for night 1 then stroll over to HWS and wait in line, that way you dont have to worry to much, thats what we are doing day 1. Dinner Cape May at 6:00 then boat to HWS to see Fantasmic at 9.

DEFINITELY worth it! Go with Mama Melrose. We have one booked for August and can't wait!!! :yay: You get an app, entree, drink and dessert for one credit! :)

If you can get it I'd do Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic pkg, but considering you are well within the 180 time frame for your trip, good luck getting it. Mama Melrose is by far the most popular restaurant for the Fantasmic pkgs and those Fantasmic pkgs usually go at the 180 day mark. I know my last two trips I've tried to book it at my 180 day mark and wasn't able to get it. Don't forget that just making an ADR at one of the restaurants does not get you the Fantasmic pkg, you have to specifically book the 'Fantasmic pkg'.

Don't know that the package is worth it for the food but most times of the year it is worth it for the admission to F!. But as a PP noted the F! packages, esp at MM, may be long gone.

You will still need dinner that night and I'm not a huge fan of the dinner CS in DHS either so I would also recommend the Cape May buffet dinner that night. You can take the boat over and back from DHS. When you get back you can decide whether to try for general admission at F! or just tour the park a little more and call it a day. Or after dinner, go across to the Boardwalk with the kids and enjoy the free outdoor entertainment there.

We aren't staying onsite and don't have the dining plan, but still made two ADRs to pay cash for on our two Disney park days: Ohana on our MK day for dinner just like you are doing (We're celebrating my mom's birthday too and I ordered a cake. With the park open from 8 a.m. (we'll be there) till midnight, a break at th Polynesian will be great), and The Fatasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose for our DHS day. We are going next week, high season, and I mostly did this because DS really wants to see Fatasmic again, the rest of our party will all come along, and I didn't want to have to line up 90 minutes or more in advance (It still sounds like you need to line up 45 minutes in advance). With the package, we'll be able to line up a little later, it won't be quite as crazy, and we need to eat anyway. (I don't know if I think it will be worth it or not, but I'm willing to try it one time based on the recommendation of friends who are AP holder and go twice every year. It just doesn't seem like it would really be worth it to me, but so many people on these boards recommend it too, so I figure I'll try it once and see what I think.)

We will be at DHS next Thursday.

the Fantasmic Package for the first time this year. The wait even with the special seating area will test my kids' patience. We'll get some snacks to take in with us to kill a little time.

We didn't decide to do this until about our 150 day but I was able to Mama Melrose at 4:05. I kept checking and we now have a 4:45 ADR. There are still late lunch slots open on that day - end of June.

The package is worth it at peak times. We were there this week and the amphitheater was filled but 7:15 for the 8:30 showing, but the package people didn't come in until 8 pm or so. We have done the package at Brown Derby twice and really enjoyed the restaurant. We decided not to do it this time because we had never been at peak time and the package seating is not prime for the show. We ended up getting there just before the seating closed and changed to standing room only. We regretted not doing the package.

For 1 more ADR I would say Chef Mickey's...nothing too fancy but its always fun!

As for Fantasmic...maybe I am slightly out of the loop lol but I don't know what that is...can someone fill me in?
