Need off-site hotel for 1 night.

Hi. Coming on Sat Nov 27th. I need an off-site hotel for 1 night for a family of 6. We are checking into our condo on the 28th. I have 4 kids (13, 11, 9 and 5). We are looking into a place to just entertain them for a bit...you know a great pool. But, I am trying to go cheap. I have read some of the other posts about staying on/off sites, but haven't seen any real suggestions as to where is the best place to stay. Would like everyones input. Where is your favorite off-site that might fit my need???

Since it's only for one night, maybe try Priceline. I did that for our trip last Christmas and was able to snag SpringHill Suites near DTD for only about $40 a night before taxes & fees. We had a view of the pool and it looked pretty nice. Considering that it was about 50 degrees, we didn't try it out.

Any recommendation might be based on knowing how you intend to get to the Disney resort?

Are you flying to Orlando or driving? If you're flying, I'd try to choose a hotel that offers a shuttle service from and then back to the airport, where you can then take the Magical Express to your resort the following day. If you're driving in, I'd try Priceline as well. Check biddingfortravel.com to see what winning bids have recently been accepted.

I would check travelzoo they have the Residence Inn by Marrioott for 49 dollars a night. I just book for labor day weekend.

I recommend Comfort Suites Lake Buena Vista. Decent rooms, decent pool (just basic though). I've gotten it for $35 before - but you'd need 2 rooms. Free continental breakfast too!

the only hotel I've found that takes 6 in a room is the Doubletree in DTD. We've gotten it for under $100/nt before with free breakfast but I think the rate varies a ton during the year.

We just did Priceline on June 27th. We ended up with a 3.5 star for $59. It was the Embassy Suites just outside of Downtown Disney. They had free breakfast and free happy hour. The rooms were very nice and clean. We felt like we hit the jackpot that night. They also had a movie playing by the pool on a giant screen.
