Hi All--

You great people helped me find John's Pizzeria in Times Square... :thumbsup2
Now, I need your help again.. I am taking my DS10 to see the Blue Man Group :groom: :groom: :groom: show on Sunday, March 28th, and I really don't know anything about the area.. (I'm from Long Island, and I'll take the train and walk to a broadway show, or to see the tree at Christmas, but I have to admit, I've never been south of Penn Station!!)

Hmmm... never seen Central Park either... (okay, that will be another thread!!)

Anyway, I'd like to take him for late lunch/early dinner. (5:00pm Show)

Can anyone recommend somewhere for a ten year old and his mom, (who will be dressed to be in the "poncho" section!)

Okay, to hijack my own thread, if anyone has been to this show, can you tell me if we'll be a complete mess (2nd row)? (Like do I have to worry about my new bag getting ruined?)

TIA for any suggestions you may have..

There is an Indian restaurant near there that I like, but I don't think he'd like it. I was in the poncho section too, but it was the 5th row. We didn't even get a drop on us and I don't think the people very close got too wet. Just put your bag on your lap and it will stay dry. Also, don't try taking pictures. I saw someone taking pictures before the show and they were nearly tossed out.

Have fun at the show!

Hi--I can't remember where we ate when we saw the show, but it was somewhere (Italian) right around the theatre.

Anyway, no you won't be a complete mess. The show is a blast (but very loud!) and I'm sure your DS will love it. Have fun!

thanks for the reassurances about the mess, I'll admit I was a bit nervous about being covered!

Now, someone at work recommended Jekyll & Hyde, can anyone tell me if this place is really scary, or like HM in MK scary???

Thanks again!! !

Other people like Jekell and Hyde's, but I thought it was lousy. Do you want to eat down near the theater, or just somewhere fun?

You won't be a mess at the end of the show. We sat second row and came out totally try.

As for a restaurant -

Patsy's Pizzeria on Univeristy Place at 10th Street

Veselka - serves Ukrainian food, perogies, stuffed cabbage, etc - 2nd Avenue and 8th Street

Cozy's Soup and Burger - Broadway at Astor Place - pretty good diner and
awesome Milk shakes :)

We saw Blue Man Group in Las Vegas. We were much further back than the poncho section. But man, did we ever get the toilet paper!!!!

Have a great time. It is a fun show.

Hi all -

We are going tomorrow night, and I'm getting excited! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

The weather looks like it will be nice, too!

So... anyone else have a "fun" resturant to recommend?

TIA!
