I have been to WDW several times but find that I tend to be a creature of habit and stick to the same counter service and sit down meals each time. I plan to go back in October for MNSSHP and wanted some advice on new counter service and sit downs to try and I know that the people on this board have alot of Disney dining experience!
Here are the places I have already eaten:
Magic Kingdom:
Crystal Palace
Cosmic Rays
Pecos Bills
Pinnochio Village Haus
Columbia Harbour House
Tony's Town Square
The Plaza Restaraunt
Main Street Bakery
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Casey's
Aloha Isle
Sleepy Hollow
Plan to try LTT on MNSSHP night

MGM:
50s Prime Time Cafe
Backlot Express
Sci-Fi Dine In

Epcot:
Le Cellier
Alfredo's
San Angel Inn
Cantina in Mexico(?)
Norway Bakery
Liberty Inn
Electric Umbrella

AK:
Flame Tree Barbeque
Pizzafari

DTD:
Rain Forest Cafe'
Capn' Jacks
Wolfgang Puck Express

Any new places and why you love them would help. THANKS :goodvibes

At MGM, I'd suggest Sci Fi Dine Inn. Not so much for the food (although the portions are huge) but for the atmosphere and cheesy movie trailers.

At Epcot, we like the Lotus Blossom Cafe. It's counter service but almost never busy with decent prices. Quick meal of a couple of egg rolls, fried rice and fortune cookies and we're energized for a while.

Outside of Epcot, you've got ESPN Club, Big River Grille and the pizza window at the Boardwalk. All good alternatives for a break from Epcot.

MK - LTT is excellent, you will love that one, especially on a MNSSHP night, they have cute little masks. :) The food is great - all you can eat, brought to your table and just so yummy. All my other favorites are already on your list. You should check out the Sleepy Hollow CS place too...they have funnel cakes! :earboy2: I would also say CRT just for the experience. The food was great when we went and got the filet at dinner, but the menu and format is changing in Feb. so I'm not sure how great it will be food-wise after that. But to eat in the castle--you just can't beat that.

MGM - For CS, you can't beat the new Studio Catering Co. in my opinion. It's really fresh and yummy. We get the kid's meals, which come with a chicken wrap, and two other items which change seasonally. We've had apple slices with caramel once and apple sauce with little mickey shaped crackers last time. For TS, H&V is good, BD is excellent, Sci- Fi doesn't have the best food, but is a really fun experience, I've heard great things about Mama Melrose and 50s Prime Time, although the only thing we've had from 50sPT is a PB&J shake (which was really yummy!!).

Epcot - Here, you can just try anything. The best place is Norway's bakery, and I see you've got that one! The TS in the countries are excellent, we've been to Germany, Mexico, Japan, and Morrocco and have LOVED every one of them, so you can't really go wrong.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ and Tusker House seem to be the only decent meals in AK in my opinion. Flame Tree is excellent, and Tusker House has a great little bakery open in the mornings that we usually get cinnamon rolls at. For lunch and dinner they have some really great options, healthier, full meals even though it's quick like CS.

We ate at Narcoosee's at GF once. It was sooooo good. I had the filet. We also timed it so we'd be eating when the fireworks went off at MK. It's a pretty nice place.

Thanks for the responses so far :goodvibes I forgot to add that if there are any good resort restaurants please let me know those too. Although our next trip will be fairly short so I don't know how much time we will spend at other places than the parks.

MGM, you should try Mama Melrose
EPCOT Chefs de France
AK Tusker House
Animal Kingdom Lodge Boma
Polynesian "Ohanna

Those are some of our favorite.....

1. Boma- a definite must try! What an experience! My DH is very picky about food and even he liked it!
2. Chef Mickey's for breakfast - a true character experience and a great b-fast selection! Make an early PS, take the monorail to CM's, eat, then hit MK. You won't need to eat lunch!
3. Ohana's - we fell in love with this place last visit. You'll walk away stuffed to the gills! Again, make a PS either early so you can hit MK for night time or fireworks or make a late PS so you can watch the electrical pagent and fireworks from the window. Nothing like having the castle in view while you eat!

mgm we really liked Brown Derby..we had never eaten there before last trip and i have to say it was our best meal. the service was attentive but not to "chummy', the atmosphere relaxing and the food great.

i know some would consider this heresy :) but i think the bakery in france is much better than norway. Tried norway for the second time last trip ( as well as france as always) and to us it just doesn't come close

we also really liked WCC ( another first time for us) we went for dinner and loved the pork chops ( not as crazy about the skillet) and tried breakfast skillet our last day which we really liked. the atmosphere was very fun also( totally different than BD so what does that say :rotfl: ?).

Beirgarten and Le cellier are also good imo. lots of my worst meals are mentioned here as fav. places so guess that shows, you never really know till you try it!

Resort places Kona, Whispering Canyon, Arist Point.

DTD Earl of Sandwich.

MGM we love Brown Derby.

Epcot Chefs de France & CS at Morocco

I would highly recommend my favorite Epcot restaurant, Marrakesh. We've also had very good meals at Le Cellier and Chefs de France.

At MGM, try Mama Melrose.

I love Boma for the food and for the opportunity to visit AKL and Whispering Canyon for the experience. Also, go the GF at least once -- breakfast at 1900 Park Fair is good.

For a great burger, try Beaches & Cream right outside of Epcot at Beach Club. It's a small place, but they do have take out also. Yum - love those hamburgers and ice cream concoctions! :goodvibes

At EPCOT, Japan, try teppanyakis dining room.....it was the BEST steak i ever had in my entire life !! loved that place so much !!!!!

Just enjoyed awesome dinners at both Kona (Polynesian Resort) and California Grill (Contemporary Resort)...atmosplere is really festive and fun at CG because you can walk out on balcony to view Wishes, but the food at Kona was probably better (and lower priced). Loved both places and will go back next trip! (Also, both are on monorail so easy to get to esp. from EPCOT or Magic Kingdom)

We tried several new places last week and California Grill was at the top of our list. Well worth the two dining credits for each of us. Had an early ressie at 5:30, saw the sun set and then the Magic Kingdom at night. Also enjoyed the sandwiches and desserts at Sunshine Seasons at The Land. Tusker House veggie sandwiches were good too.

Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom for breakfast. Yummy breakfast, huge portions. Lasts me (with a small snack) until dinner. And it is about 1/3 of what you'd pay for a sit-down. It isn't far from the Kilimanjaro Safaris exit, and will be practically empty if you ride KS first thing.

Every trip we ride KS, eat at Tusker House, and then watch the guys with the drums.

You didn't mention the Hoop-Dee-Doo. It is a show as well as a meal, and if I could only go to WDW for one day, I'd include it. So fun!

I second Narcoossee's at the GF and California Grill at the Contemporary. They are both favorites of mine and DH. Earl of Sandwich in DTD is wonderful for lunch - definitely NOT your typical counter service.
