I was thinking of adding a slice of whole wheat bread to dinner but wasn't sure if this would be too many carbs for the day. Any ideas?

I wanted to share something I read yesterday about cereal in my Biggest Loser book - Sugar 5g or less, Figer 5g or more. I was surprised to see how much sugar was in my Special K cereal and decided to switch to shredded wheat with a splenda packet. Even the Kashi I had was high in sugar.

Yes, I would definately add more calories - you don't want to be too low - perhaps a mid morning snack?

I am shooting between 1200-1500 calories per day - I find with the range Ido better than a straight number. Good Luck!

I would strongly advise a snack between each meal. Some fruit or hard boiled egg, slice of meat and piece of cheese roll-up or something. Going so long between meals can mess with your insulin and other things. I work in healthcare and do not know a nutritionist that does not advise 6 small meals as the best plan.

I saw some nutritionist explain your metabolism like a campfire. If you toss small sticks on the fire on a regular basis the fire burns strong. If you wait long perioids the flames dwindle and the big log makes it hard to get the fire going again.

Don't get fixed on 1 number either. Like the other poster said commit yourself to a small range and that eliminates any guilt if you go over a hundres calories 1 day.

Good luck..go have a snack!
