Need Itunes library help please

Ok, so we have a new computer. From our old computer, I did an export of the library, saved it and put it on media to transfer to the new computer. So, now, I'm trying to import the library to my new itunes and can't figure out how to do that. I can import a playlist but don't see how to add this stuff to the library. Any tips? Thanks.

Copying your music via iTunes import isn't as strait forward as I think it should be. There are detail instructions over on the iTunes support hopefully they'll help you out.

And this is why I don't purchase music from iTunes and why I don't let them manage any of mu music. It all sits on terabyte drives as raw MP3 files and the only thing I use iTunes for is to drag and drop the music to my iPod.

There is no reason it has to be as hard as they make it and is a fall back to DRM.
