OK, I've spent the last 3 days re-planning our vacation since my DH has military duty he can't get out of the last weekend we were planning to be there. Anyway, I would love some advice on my Iteniary for the parks. I'm posting for MK, two days, right now and will post the other parks in separate threads later. Any and all ideas welcome since this is our first trip! My boys are 6 & 4 and both are over 40". This is their first trip to a major amusement park (that they remember anyway).

What do you think?

I've been going to WDW since it first opened.
I would never consider "PLANNING" on EACH RIDE like this.
Too many things can happen.

But, in general, I'd head the REALLY popular attractions (like Space Mtn) FIRST.

Make sure you see everything you can, but, in my opinion, you're going to be a NERVOUS WREAK if you attempt closely following a LIST like this.

But if a LIST is what you want, I'd subscribe to the "Unofficial Guide" and use one of THEIRS.

Ditto...I would make a list of attractions that are must do's, but don't plan to do them in order. Too easy to get too stressed out when things don't fall into place. Definitely take advantage of all Fast Passes for the major attractions!

OK, first of all, I subscribed to the unofficial guide and kind of added and changed here and there as needed. I know, kind of defeats the purpose but that thing had us going from one end of a park to the other way too often. That would stress out my DH. This is just an idea... no time constraints or anything. I just want a list so that in the heat of the moment we don't get into line for something we had intended to skip over (Stitch, snow white) and don't miss anything we intended to ride. I guess I just want to make sure that we shouldn't be riding something else first (i.e. the more popular rides) when others may not be as crowded since we've never been before. Anybody else?

You may want to get a FP for Space Mountain before riding Buzz Lightyear and probably use it after Indy Speedway.

On Day 2, get a FP for Pooh, Peter Pan, or Philharmagic as soon as you enter the park.

Also, on Day 2, it may be worth the effort for someone to go to Splash Mountain for a FP during a mid-morning potty break. I know you don't want to do any backtracking, but its not that bad of a trek from Fantasy Land. Don't know how crowded the MK will be on October 22, but if its somewhat crowded, Splash Mountain can have long waits in standby line by late morning.
