We are renting OKW studio from DVC owner 10/12-10/17. We are wanting to do the dining plan.

So, can I start calling 180 + 10 days out? I don't understand the + 10 days I read somewhere.

1. When I call to make dining reservations do I need to give them a confirmation number or credit card?

I'm not sure about the 10+. I think its just 180.
You won't have to give them a credit card or anything. Just tell them you're staying at OKW and on the DDP ( I think the people you're renting from will have to sign you up for DDP and then you call and make the ressie).

the 180 +10 days thing is so you can call and make all your dining reservations with one phone call. You are arriving on October 12th. So you would want to call 180 from that date. But that's not 180 days from October 13th, your next day. It used to be that you would have to call back the next day for your dining reservations for the 13th. Then the next day for the 14th, etc.

With the 180 +10 days, you call 180 days from October 12th and can make reservations for your entire stay.

Have your confirmation number and also have a credit card nearby. There are some signature restaurants that require a credit card deposit. Those are few (like Cinderella's breakfast) but you will want to be prepared for that.

Also when you call, have your dates, times and choices of restaurants handy. You could run into problems with not being able to get your first choice. So have alternatives. Like if you couldn't get into 50s Prime Time at 6:30, would you take something later? Or would you want to switch over to Sci-Fi if that is available?
