I haven't been to this board in ages, but recently got bit by the Disney bug again. I'm trying to think of a good time for our next trip. Only thing is I currently have a 4 month old so we've ruled out this summer (even those my other DS was 5 months his first trip, LOL!).

Here are some of our options and reasons...

October 2006 - Of course I like this because its the soonest, but baby will still only be 9 months old. Also, DD is starting 1st grade in Sept. not sure I want to take her out that soon after starting the school year.

Summer 2007 - Baby will be 16-18months old, DD is out of school, but summer crowds with 3 kids doesn't thrill me either.

October 2007 - Our 10 year anniversary , baby will be a bit older (20 months), again DD will be in school though (2nd grade by then). And I've always wanted to go for the MNSSHP.

I guess its really between the 2 for 2007. Realistically we should wait till 2008 but thats no fun.

I say May of 2007! Even though it wasn't an option! May is my favorite time to go... low (relatively) crowds, not too too hot but hot enough for lots of pool time. We took our kids out of school when they were young (K and 1st). It is no longer an option for us now though!

I see you are in NJ, could you go sometime, like Jersey week, when you can combine a school break with a trip and maybe only miss one or two days of school?? I understand wanting to wait until the baby is older. We took ours when they were babies, but we lived in Florida at the time so it was a short drive and we went during the cooler months. We did not do MVMCP or MNSSHP until our kids were old enough to stay until closing so we could get our $$$$ worth. Remember, even Sept, Oct, and May can be very hot.

Oct 07 would be the best time to go because the weather is great and little crowds. Also your newborn will be older and still free. Your DD will be older and be able to stay out later and appreciate it even more. So Oct 07 would be best.

My DS8 had his very first haircut in WDW from the Barber-shop quartet on Main Street at 9 months, they blew bubbles and gave DS a hat that reads 1st haircut:)

Go in Oct 2006. Baby is way more convenient than a toddler. And dont worry about 1st grade. Shes not missing the lecture on astro-physics.
