Can anyone provide me with some details on the character breakfast at Cape May? We will be staying at BCV in March, with children aged 11, 8, 5, 3 and ten-months. We have typically done the character breakfast at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, but would be inclined to stay at BCV if it is as good. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks.

We went to the Cape May character breakfast last September. It seemed quieter than our Chef Mickey experience, and since we were staying at BCV, it was so convenient. I would do Cape May again in a minute. The atmosphere is a little "cozier" IMO.

We did the Cape May breakfast on our trip a couple of weeks ago. It was our first experience with a character breakfast and I'm so glad that we picked Cape May!! The character interaction was great!! Chip and Dale and Minnie all came to our table several times and spent plenty of time with us. Dale really hammed it up. Goofy was standing at the entrance and doing the meet and greet thing and we took pictures and got an autograph from him, too.

The food was standard breakfast buffet fare but everything was hot and tasty and the buffet was well stocked. Our waitress was very attentive and our drinks were refilled often.

All in all, I don't think you could go wrong with Cape May!!

Another vote in gerneral for Cape May's breakfast. I find it a little costly, but no higher than other character breakfasts. The hot foods can sometimes be more tepid than hot, but that seems to be only when it is a bit slow. The character interaction is great. Sometimes Minnie stays in the Rip Tide lounge (to the right after the entry).

The Cape May breakfast is our favorite character breakfast. There are plenty of choices on the buffet and it is much quieter and less hectic than the other character meals. The interaction is great and I love the outfits (old fashioned beach gear). I would highly recommend you try it.

I agree with everybody--Cape May is an excellent character breakfast, even for kids who are "too old" for characters! I even have pictures of my college boy with Minnie in the Riptide Lounge! The food is plentiful, attractively displayed, and in most cases hot--we really liked the Mickey waffles, which magically do not get soggy no matter how much syrup you pour on them! Our drinks server was slow and seemed never to be around...but anybody can have an off day. The restaurant is very attractive, with pretty pastel beach umbrellas around the perimeter. Make PS, though. When we went, in July, it was jam-packed!

We ate at Cape May in August and it was OK. The service was slow and the food was good but overall it just didn't do it for us. I think it's because we enjoy the more high energy atmosphere of Chef Mickeys, so Cape May was a bit of a snoozer in comparison.

sev, you'll love having breakfast at the Cape May Cafe with Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale. they are all dressed up for the beach. chip and dale wear shorts, goofy wears shorts with a life jacket and minnie wears a beach dress. it's a very cheerful environment. the characters come around the tables to pose for pictures, interact with guests, sign autographs, etc.

during our first trip, we had breakfast there for the first time. i had scrambled eggs left on my plate when chip came to visit. he picked up the fork and fed me the eggs. it was so funny when he kept pulling the fork away from me when he tried to feed me. afterwords, he went to greet my pre-fiance rob but spilled the rest of his juice in his lap. chip cleaned up his mess and apologized as best as he could.

we've gone back a few times for breakfast ever since and still love it. you'll love it, too.

we went there last week, and I thought the food was yummy. I wish I had more room in my tummy so I could have eaten more. Service was ok, characters were ok.
I got breakfast vouchers free with my tickets(I ended up paying about $5-$7 pp to eat there). As much as I like the breakfast, I would not pay the full price to eat there.

It was definately alot quiter then CM's - but, we had the best character interaction here of any that we've ever been to. I got really great footage of my DS (who was 19 months when we last were there) dancing with Minnie and Goofy, and then coloring with Chip & Dale. It seemed like the characters spent alot of time at each table too - lots of fun, you should definately try it.

We just got back on Sunday and did Cape May breakfast on Friday and loved it!! I had actually tried to book Chef Mickey's but it was all filled - boy am I glad it was!!! :) We were staying at BWV so Cape May was soooo convenient and after breakfast we just walked in to spend the day at Epcot.

The characters were adorable in their swim outfits. We had great interaction. We saw every character twice! It was a much more leisurely breakfast than at cm's, IMHO. The buffet had lots of good eats. I would highly recommend this one and especially if you are staying at BCV!

Cape May is the best character meals my family has experienced. The character meals at the parks seem crowded and rushed. This was more relaxed and the characters visited and acutally sat down at our table for what seemed to be a long time compared to other character meals. This was during mid-January.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have expericned. They had a mixedberry crepe that was to die for (I don't know if this is offered all the time) I must have eaten at lease half dozen.

It brings a smile to my face to think about the Cape May Cafe and the Yacht & Beach Club. So many good memories. :D :D

This is one of our favorites!!

The buffet is delicious and since the atmosphere isn't as hectic as Chef Mickey's (which we also love!) it seems like you receive much better character interaction. We've had some of our best character experiences here!
