I had originally planned to spend our 3 nights prior to our cruise at Universal - but the price for the hotel is just too high. So I'm looking for options near WDW. We've been a couple of times and stayed at CBR and Vistana.

The Radisson looks like a nice hotel and my younger DS could eat free. I see from their website they have a free scheduled shuttle but I'm curious how good it is.

Any comments would be appreciated!

I stayed at the Radisson on October. The hotel is nice. We arrived after midnight and the checkin was very smooth. Breakfast at Mandolin's is free for children 10 and under. It was a buffet with all the baisc stuff, omelettes made to order, etc.

My daughter LOVED the pool. They have a 40 ft. water slide that she couldn't get enough off. We ended up not going to Sea World one day just to stay at the pool. The other pool is heated. The big one, and I mean big, water fall, slide, it holds over a hundred people easy, is not. I had to go to the heated first and then head to big one. I even went through the slide a few times but then it was too cold for me. I live in Miami. ;)

The hotel is spread over several buildings. We had a room with the view of a patio with a gazebo, nice and relaxing. Rooms are good size, marble thorughout the bathrooms. We had been at Amerisuites at a few of our previous trips and this was definitely a step up. The only thing missing was a refrigerator. They have a minibar but it was locked and I never bothered to get the key. There was some damage during the hurricanes and one of the bridges that connected the parking to the buildings was closed but you could get around from the other buildings without any trouble.

For the price it was an excellent choice outside the parks. Go for it.

We've stayed there a couple of times. Rooms are smaller but it is a nice place. Great pools with a slide!

Does anyone know if the Radisson rooms are smaller than Disney's value resorts? Thanks.
