I was needing more info on the Mission Space ride. DH doesnt do well on rides like Star Tours. Where cars move and you watch a movie screen. Is Mission Space along those lines??? He can ride anyting else. ToT RnR just no virtual reality ride or rides that go around and around. I want to find out more about the ride so we dont ride it and the DH gets woozy. Thats no fun.:(

This is not a ride for your DH. You sit in a capsul and watch a small screen while the capsul spins around.

Yes, I'd agree that Mission: Space is probably not a good idea for your DH (though you could certainly ride it yourself and then give him your own first-hand opinion of it). It is a bit like Star Tours in that you do watch a "movie" (though it's hard to make a comparison; Mission: Space is so much more advanced), but it is much more physically intense than Star Tours. You are actually seated in a pod in a centrifuge that spins so fast that you experience amazing G-forces. They warn you over and over to look straight forward and not move your head at all during the ride, and if you obey that strictly you really don't feel at all like you're spinning DURING the ride--but after the ride was over I felt dizzy for a little while and could definitely tell I had been spun around!

I had told DH I wouldn't go on Mission: Space (I don't like dizzy rides!) but after he went he convinced me that it was just too exciting an experience to pass up, so I went and I'm glad I did. However, if your DH really does not do well with this sort of thing I'd advise against it!

Just got back and I chickened out on Mission Space. Actually went through the entire line and was seated in the capsule when I bolted out the door (and my 15 YO daughter followed me). The ride warns that if you don't like spinning, enclosed spaces, or loud noises, then don't ride. I wasn't sure about the spinning part but thought I'd try it. Well, it was the enclosed space part that got me. You enter a small "capsule" with 4 seats across with screen/control panel across from you. Then you put the harness down over your head. At this point I put the harness down half way and almost had a panic attack. I slid out from it and got out. My daughter followed. My husband, at this point, had the harness down and locked. He said that after they close the doors, the screen/control panel comes closer to your face. (I know I would have had too much claustrophobia with that). He said he felt a little vertigo with the ride (and he never gets any problems with rides). He also said the G-force is amazing. His face was actually pulled back and he felt pressure on his chest.
Of course now my daughter is kicking herself that she didn't stay on and vows to do it next time. I will stay away from it.
All in all, my husband said it is a great ride and will have long lines when it is fully running.
Just a note, I have a small 7 YO girl (46") and she could have ridden. They had a measuring stick and she was definitely taller. I didn't even consider her going on it (she chickened out on ToT).

I do very well on motion rides and rides of all kind for that matter - but I felt queasy after riding Mission Space - We rode late afternoon about 40minutes before our dinner ressies - had it been after our dinner ressies I fear I might have well not to be gross but upchucked it!

4 of us rode it - me DH DD8 and my neice 14 - DH and DD8 LOVED IT!! - Me and my neice did not enjoy it at all!
