We will be at Royal Pacific next week. I would like to do dinner at our hotel a few nights. I thought I read somewhere that the Island dining room has themed nights. Does anyone have details?
Also, do they have a special dining area for little kids? Can us adults sit near if they have a special dining area?

Unless the food/chef has changed the last time we were here the food was great. We also enjoy Jakes and Tchoup Chop at RPR very much. Have a great vacation. :)

Kids Dining Room
Featuring kiddie-size tables and chairs, flat screen TV playing cartoons, a Bali-style play area, and a special children’s buffet with all their favorites like chicken nuggets, macaroni & cheese, pizza, fruit, cookies and more. A great value at only $3.99 per child (ages 3-12)

Nightly Entertainment

Tuesday – Universal Orlando® Character Dining
Wednesday – Doctor Cardoo, our local Witch Doctor
Thursday – Face Painter & Balloonist
Friday – Hula Dancer & Strolling Musician
Saturday – Universal Orlando® Character Dining
Sunday - Hula Dancer & Strolling Musician

Islands Dinner Buffet
Served on Friday & Saturday evenings, the buffet features a taste of the islands with a scrumptious spread of menu items including an array of salads, vegetables, beef, seafood, and poultry entrees and an action station.

Adults: $24.50
Children: $9.75 (ages 3-12)

Do I need to reserve the kid's dining ahead of time. And will us adults be seated near the kids. I'd like to keep an eye on them.

Since I will be at RP next week I will take pictures and review this restaurant. I'll try to get as much info as possible and post it on this board. Since were are staying at RP is just make sense to eat there a few nights. We will do my FAV margaritaville too.

I like their breakfast buffet. They serve sticky rice for breakfast!

Thanks deelam for offering to write a review and take photos. I've been looking for information on the kids room and Island Dining Room myself, so will be looking forward to your report!

Have a great vacation!

The kids dinning room was full when we ate there, so while DD ate from the kids bar we were seated in the main dining room. Adults were seated in the kids buffet area.
We ate there on Mon and Thur I believe. The face painter left on Thur before DD could get her face painted. The character meal on Mon was fun.
The food there was very good.
The breakfast buffet was also very good.

Oh my goodness--I have finally found actual real people who have been to the character dinner at the Islands!! I know it was a while back, but could you share details about what is available on the menu and the pricing. I can't find this anywhere and my calls are going unanswered. There is a lunch menu on allears.net, but I don't know if those offerings are continued at dinner. There is also a gorgeous sounding menu on another link I found, but the gal at reservations said it sounded like the combined all the restaurants on one menu. Not sure why it is so hard to find info.

Also, how was the character interaction and who did you see. Any hints for where to sit, etc.

Thanks so much for any help you can lend!!
