We are taking our first trip in November, first week too, didn't know when I planned this thing- that it is BUSy due to NJ Schools. Have 2 todlers and a newborn and a 10 year old, all boys, would love to go to a character meal, but can you do this before the parks open or after they close??? What is the prices like, and where can I get a listing of all the places to go, with their hours etc. And I am not familiar with all the abbreviations. We are staying offsite. Thank you, any advice would be helpful..

I personally like Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. You can take the monorail over from MK. And I like Donald's Breakfastasaurus at the Animal Kingdom. This is a great way to start your day at AK. Character meals are a lot of fun!!

I also think your boys would like Chef Mickey's. It is fun for dinner (I've not been to the breakfast). We often do this on our fist day there -- no park, but fun dinner on arrival day. It sort of gets us off to a festive start without being overwhelmingly tiring because of travel, etc.

I personally think Chef Mickey's is the most "fun" but it is a buffet which can be difficult with a few little ones in tow.

We went, unknowingly, during NJ week last Nov & my advice would be to get to the Magic Kingdom when it opens. It didn't start getting really crowded until about 11am. Also, on MK early entry days, it seemed to be much more chaotic. We did Cindy's breakfast on an early entry day & were in the first seating. We left breakfast about 20 min after park opened & already line for Dumbo was 30+min. We had 2 toddlers & a baby too & my best advice would be to take breaks in afternoon if you can. We rented a double stroller for our 3 & 5 yr olds & it ws the best money we've ever spent. they could get in & out when they wanted & we could move at a faster rate. One thing that is nice at this time of year is that the parks close early so fireworks, etc. are early. (I think around 6:30pm). We could have an early dinner, see the night stuff & get kids to bed at a decent hour.

Enjoy!!!
