Need ideas to celebrate DD's 5th birthday please!!!

We have celebrated DD#3's birthday before with Pooh and then with Mickey. We will be at HRH this time for her 5th bb-day as DD#1 is in a National Cheerleading Comp at IOA.

I want to acknowledge her b-day in a special way and not let her get overshadowed by DD#1 and her cheerleading!!

Please give suggestions as I am not too familiar with IOA/US and want to make her day special!!

Here's something I saw on the AP newsletter...

If you want to spend a lot of $, you can do the Birthday Party program. With up to 15 people (children and adults), you can have Barney, Spider-Man, the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, or the kid's favorite Nick characters join in. The package includes park admission to USF or IOA, and a special birthday party with cake, ice cream, decorations, and more. Extras such as meals and character meet and greets are extra. Packages start at $549 and AP holders get $100 off. Call 407-224-B-DAY.

Personally, it sounds like a glorified Chuck E. Cheese party, but if you want to go all out, do it. Otherwise, does anyone have more cost-effective ideas?

Do they have any "It's my birthday" hats or something that she can wear so that everyone wishes her "Happy Birthday" all day?

Most of the restaurants must do special birthday cakes. Why don't you call guest services at the Hard Rock Hotel and ask. They were very helpful when I called. Just call the hotel and ask for guest services.

In IOA, at Circus McGurkus, there's a Birthday celebration everyday at 3 pm (Guess they still do that).
It's not that it's a personalized party, but it's one way to be honored on a vacationing B-Day.
Cool place for a 5 y.o.

We stayed at HRH last month and we celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday there. We mentioned her birthday when we made the reservation and at check in. On her birthday they suprised her with balloons, party hats, blowers and a cake. They did this while we were out so she was very excited when we returned from breakfast. We also made her a Birthday Girl shirt that she wore proudly! Her autograph book is filled with birthday wishes from Shrek, Sponge Bob, Popeye, Spiderman and many more of her favorites. But the thing she talks about the most is when the boat taxi driver had her sit in the front of the boat and had everyone sing happy birthday to her. She felt very special on her day!
